We are very excited to announce a new partnership between LampizatOr North America/Destination Sound Group and David Laboga, also known as DL Custom Audio.
Many people in high end audio may only know DL for their recent work in the home audio space, but the company’s roots go much deeper than that. For almost twenty years, David Laboga built professional instrument and studio cables for some of the most demanding musicians in the world. This is a company that earned its reputation on stages and in recording studios long before they ever entered our side of the industry.
Their user list includes members of Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Billy Idol, The Doors, CREED, KALEO, Guns N Roses, Scorpions, TOTO, Steve Lukather Tommy Emmanuel, Eric Gales and many others. As far as we are aware, there is no other cable line that has been embraced so broadly by both audiophiles and by elite musicians at the top of the food chain. That history matters, because it means DL approaches cable design from the perspective of musical truth and real world performance.
When DL created the DL Custom Audio line for home systems, they brought the same approach with them. Everything is voiced by ear. Everything is built by hand. They use custom machined connectors, carefully tuned conductor geometries and even natural materials like hand wrapped leather. The goal is always the same.
