Allnic L6500 - shiny and new

Ketcham mentioned, in his thread about Corby's grand opening in early November, a very little tidbit about the L6500 linestage. Dave Beetles, Hammertone Audio, (N.A. Allnic distributor and long time audio pal) was kind enough to send me a few pictures of said L6500 - that I would care to share.
I understand that the units are shipping now (we spoke about 'shipping' - holy schmokes has that ever gone up a bunch!) and that the introductory price point might be $6900usd.

I like the new Allnic H-6500 a lot
In my set up, the H-6500 does play very nice and more close to my favorite H-7000v than expected.
Similar to H-7000v I prefer a Kron rectifier in the PSU. In Europe the prices are between 8k an 10k eur, depending on the local distributor.

but maybe you can order a customized H-6500.

This function is also not standard on H-7000 or H-7000v, but can be ordered as additional feature.

Hi Shakti

Can you expand a bit on your comment that it "plays more close to the H7000v than expected" please? I can see it only has one MM and one MC input & doesn't have the curve flexibility of the 7000V , but where are the differences in sound? After all, its less than half the price.

as all current Allnic Phono stages the H-6500 has 2MM and 2 MC input. All phono stages do have the same copper Step Up for MC.

Listening to H-5500, H- 6500 and H-7000 demonstrates to family sound of Allnic.
Engaging, transparent, fluent, well balanced, little soft and less transparent compared to some BIC solid state (CHP, Boulder 2008).

Realizing the price point, the H-6500 should be closer to H-5500 and and a big step to reach the H-7000 level.

But H-6500 (in my et up) is more close to H-7000 level than to H-5500 (using Kron Recti in H-6500 and H-7000)

Allnic performance in climbing up the product range is improving in terms of resolution, over all- and micro dynamics, room, emotions...

At least, with H-7000 you are closer to the real music event in front of you as listening to the H-5500.

As sound staging is mainly driven by low bass performance, the H-7000 is the better one with a fair distance to the much cheaper H-6500. If soundstage is your main scope, the H-7000 is the phono stage to go. H-6500 can compete in many criteria, but the lowest register is definitely better with H-7000 ( as least in my setup)
