May be someone on this forum was ever able to compare a pair of HPD Tannoys with Harbeth HL5s even though they are very different speakers.
I had almost every make of British speakers beginning with a pair of GRF corner cabinets in 1966, Chartwell, Armstrong, Intaglio, Tangent, ProAc, 3 pairs of ESL 63s, Spendor, etc but never heard a pair of Harbeth. They are very expensive speakers and wonder if it is just a cult.
I am just looking for something around $5K with superb mids.
