Hi all, I am new to the forum. I don't see a lot of activity around the Raspberry Pi as a serious component in an audiophile setup. Is there much interest in using the Pi as a digital transport? Add-ons like the HifiBerry Digi+, Allo Digione or Pi 2 Design 502DAC seem to be a very cost effective...
Ever since I read the review by Srajan Ebaen of the D1 DAC from COS Engineering I am keen to learn more. He certainly waxed lyrical. Is this in the same league as say the TotalDAC or dCS Vivaldi? At $9000 MSRP it seems to want to be there. Hailing from Taiwan, according to Sranan it has many...
Hello Folks,

I'm loving this new age of crowd-sourced funding. It seems to be enabling companies like Light Harmonic to determine demand for a product before they build it and get funding for R&D in advance.
Light Harmonic, the creators of the Da Vinci Dual DAC, have recently made a few spinoff projects...
Disclosure: I used to work for a former Spectral dealer (Progressive Audio in Columbus, OH, now out of business, sadly). I also apologize and warn the reader about the length of my loving rant.
With that out of the way let me begin by being clear about my feelings about Spectral. I plan to...
This thread is to discuss the new Rowland Capri S2 preamplifier. During CES 2013, Jeff Rowland has announced and released the Capri S2 (Series 2) preamplifier, a replacement of the fabulous original Capri product. Capri S2, as well as its optional DAC card, was developed in an engineering...

Hi all,
This is my first post to this forum.
I've currently got a Benchmark DAC1 Pre/Stax SRM-727A/SR-009 setup for my desktop. I've been getting quite a few DSDDFF files via my PS3 (which is how I stumbled onto this forum by the way). and am looking at something to replace my Benchmark...
Friends...
PFO just posted my review of the Weiss DAC 202. It was a huge project, but please let me know what you think.
Currently, my in-house DAC is the Antelope Gold with Voltikus power supply. The Antelope uses an ovenized crystal oscillator, and is quite promising.
I am on the verge of a decision wheter I should continue with transport+dac+clock or to switch to a one box cd player. Can I get your opinions on this.
My current digital configuration is Esoteric P-02+DCS Scarllati DAC+DCS Scarllati Clock.
Any comments on Burmester069, Soulution 5 and 7...
