Hello WBF members and good afternoon to you. Well, we all know by now that the 'gone has repeatedly been digging their own grave since their "upgrade" last year. The prices have gone up and the number of hits have gone down. Folks around the globe visiting the 'gone have dwindled to a rather consistent 1/2 of what it used to be prior to the upgrade. I think by now that we all know why, so I won't get into all of that.

Below is a master list of all of the active Audiogone alternatives I have ran across to date. I didn't include Craigslist or E-Bay because CL is not only IME mostly junk but is also geographically challenged. Also, not much high end gear lists on E-Bay, although we know that it can be a great source for music. What I would like is to start a master list that is gathered from all of our collective knowledge that you ladies and gentlemen would consider an alternative to the 'gone.

At this point, even if it is a "start-up" site trying to get it's feet up off the ground? Please mention it. You never know, that one could end up being the next AudiogoN. Here's what I have so far; (Updated on 2/9/2020)

theaudioclassifieds.com theaudioclassifieds.com is an alternative to post ads inexpensively and without any commissions taken, as well as no interference between buyers and sellers, and might be a useful tool as more folks learn about it.

Any new links to AudiogoN alternatives will be added to this post as time marches on. If you have one to add to the list, please specify whether or not there is a fee associated with browsing over the listings. This is not limited to the USA or Canada, any and all world-wide AG alternatives are welcome. Thanks for looking and thank you in advance for any other suggestions you may have to offer.

There are a lot of sites with trading sections. E.g. avsforum.com, audioasylum.com and audioaficionado.com

Hello, Steve. Thank you. ;)

Hello, edorr. I had thought about doing that as well and adding these type sites to the master list but decided against it. Many of these type sites have a policy to where new users/members can not look to see what's for sale without a subscription or membership fee. There are also many of these type sites that have a minimum post count in order to simply view what's wanted or what's up for sale. That's not a bad idea for some forum's/clubs because quite often, their membership base gets a little bit of a discount. Sites like that have a mentality that the For Sale/Flea Market/Wanted or what have you section is earned by participation and not granted as a "right" just because you visited the site.

The point of this thread is to simply keep a master list of the possible AudiogoN alternatives that do not require a post count minimum, a paid membership or paid subscription to see what's up for sale, much like the model that the 'gone has used. Now, I will say this. If you do know of a high end site that is a pay site with no post count minimum that already has an extensive and established marketplace for high end gear, please feel free to suggest the link within this thread, along with the associated fee amounts and perhaps some examples of what type of gear they have available. I wouldn't mind adding that to the list for those folks who might be interested in taking a peek.

Hello and thank you, andromedaaudio. Is there any way to provide a link to that site translated in English perhaps? I will be more than happy to provide your original link as well as the one in English, if available.

Just click the UK flag in the main page. Great site, I have bough and sold there a few times. However it is a completely open site - any one can reply to advertisements, even non members. Also there are some fraudulent advertisements, and management seems to ignore it.

I have added another one to the list that I ran across last night. Some really nice gear here. From the website;

We buy, sell & trade hifi audio speakers and equipment, worldwide for manufacturers, dealers and individuals

Tom, higherfi is a dealer. They seem to like taking gear on consignment and then selling off their web page.
BTW, I was looking at their site and they have a speaker comparator with remarks posted by some 'genius' as to the various merits of speakers.
Go here: http://www.higherfi.com/comparator/s.htm

I love how the 'genius' rates the SF Guarneri's....mid fi with heavy bass...LOL, I'm not sure what speaker this guy was listening to, BUT it sure wasn't any pair of G's that I know of!
Should look at what they say about Wilson Alex's...
You have to love these guys:(

I would just like to add that not only is the 'gon gone, they didn't take kindly to my criticisms and summarily threw me off the site (oct 2012) and prohibited me from trading there. Known as mrfonda with 100% positive feedback and a 'rating' of 93....go figure

IMO Audiogon has no alternative right now. Haven't sold a single piece of gear through the alternative sites.

Audio Markt is fine too, if you are Europe based (many people from Asia browse that too, especially the countries that also have 230V AC, like Singapore).
