I am unoacking from Vegas after a business meeting there, and had the time to browse the nice shops at the Ceasars Palace underground luxury mall, this is a brief report:

Panerai - I do not recall this store in the past, close to the Trevi fountain at the left side from the casino entrance, a limited white face version of the Luminor Marina called my attention at $6.5 kusd, nice watch,

Tourneau - This is the largest watch store I have ever been (the NYC store is also large but this is newer), great collection on many premium makers such as Patek Philippe, IWC, Corum, etc.. I liked three watches there, a used Calatraba, an IWC 44mm vintage and a Used Corum silver an gold (almost took this last one but I controlled myself nicely :) )

Forum Watches - great collection and service, two part store since one is devoted to Hublot only (I own a Big Bang watch from Hublot, nice piece) - a Zenith watch called my attention here, it was on sale since a new model was released, power reserve, see-thru, El Primero engine...nice!

Audemars - there is also one store that stocks the Royal Oak line, prices were not as interesting as other stores but they had a large collection, the 8% local tax kills them.

Brietling - nice store, spent little time there since I was not that interested since I have a couple of them.

It was a nice and well spent evening, we finished having a great dinner at Joe's (crab) and a walk back at the strip to the Hotel.

Fernando my friend

You are so fortunate to own a Hublot Big Bang. That is my ultimate all time favorite. I know that "almost" only counts in horse shoes but I "almost" bought one last year in the Caribbean.

Which Big Bang version do you have. Post a picture if you can.

Here it is:

There are many different renditions of The Big Bang. The one I almost bought was copper colored as compared to your black and you could see all the movements below the dial. Don't you just love those rubber wrist bands on a $30K watch.

It is rubber on the outside but leather at the inside Steve, very hi-tech.

I'm sure it's a special type of rubber from virgin rubber trees.

So what's the idea behind rubber on the outside? Have it last longer?

The just-ruber band is unconfortable to some, the leather strap makes it more confirtable and is water proof, they use an special glue with a 10 year warranty so it won't come apart. I bought mine second hand and looks like new, must have 12-18 months so far.

Yes, it was Sylvester Stallone that popularized Panerai. He bought 200 watches and gave them out to close friends. You occasionally see these 'Slytech' timepieces show up on watch auction sites such as Antiquorium. I still treasure my Luminor GMT :)
