So is the Doug McLeod.

I also think it's a matter of how many were pressed.

I'm pretty sure I have the Katz but not the Mcleod.

must be few. have not encountered those titles in those day. i got a few cd titles of audioquest and they were forgettable ones.

I do have that album, It's one of the greats IMHO. I also like the others in the line-up...Robert Lucas and Mighty Sam McClain are stand outs. All well worth collecting if you can get your hands on them.

Thanks for the feedback, Davey. I hope to get one of these someday.

that's pretty wild, he plays at the little club down the road pretty frequently, sometimes with his own band, sometimes as a sideman for others. have heard him, he's good. what's the mystique behind this album?

the vinyl goes for 300 because everyone knows how superior it is to the cd, 30x as much at least! actually the sonics are great as well as the music - a fusion of blues/jazz/rock and a tinge of zydeco. the red book disc sounds pretty darn good to me, i think they just did one run of the LP and demand has now surpassed supply. another reason not to start collecting LPs ;)

Thanks, Rob. So, here's the plan. Next time he's playing at the local club, I go, intro myself, say, dude, I'm into vinyl, you must have some copies of that in your stash at home, here's a couple twenties, can you mail it to me? He seems like a righteous guy. I'd trust him. :) Last time I saw him, a couple years ago, I think he was playing on a Nord, which has a great B-3 emulator, for an electronic keyboard. Then again, there ain't nothin' like a real B-3.
