When it comes to room acoustics, how do you find someone you trust?

That's kind of oversimplifying the situation many audiophiles faceHow many people have a "dedicated" audio room that they can do anything they want to? Plus, most of the room Rx stuff looks like crap IMHO.
It's not oversimplifying. Just start off with little things that don't cost anything, like getting the room/system layout as symmetrical as possible. Moving draperies or opening/closing blinds. Hell, they even have room treatments now that are disguised as artwork! A big one.... moving speakers or your listening position.... even if it's just for a listening session. Those things can have a major impact!

Seriously, I don't consider what you're talking about as room treatment. That system setup 101. I'm talking about more sophisticated means to achieve better sound.

Besides testimonials regarding satisfaction, services, communications, delivery times, issue resolving, hitting goals, etc., you should look at acoustic "proof of performance" data.
