What were the original retail prices for Studers most popular models such as the A820, A80, A810, A807, etc.
I know the most economical A807 were still going for over 12K at time of release.

An actual "Price List" for the complete units I did not find here, but one only for spare parts :

but there are the order numbers of many bits & pieces - good luck with searching ;)

One comment from a brochure
STUDER A80

Die Preise für dieses Gerät waren auch damals (1976) schon STUDER typisch
(Prices were typical STUDER

Die einfachste Mono Vollspur Version kostete 13.500 SFR. Die größte Version mit 24 Spuren und 2? Band kostete 99.000 SFR

A simple one-track MONO was CHF 13'500.--, the biggest 24-track Version, 2" tape , amounted to CHF 99'000.- (I trust, the decimal is correct :) )

Anthony,

Please be aware, that prices from the seventies had a very different currency basis.
IIRC, Swiss franc to Dollar in those days was about 4 to 1 (Four CHF for one Dollar !!) now it’s about one to one....

Hence the example for the A80 of CHF 99000 would have been a “meagrely 25 000 dollars” ….;)

US list price (converted from CHF) for a standard Studer A-810/2-track butterfly heads, 3-speed 4-pole capstan motor with trolley was approximately $14.4 K at the end of its run around 1991.

They were all at least the price of a new car in their day, and much more for the A820. While the price for Studer has been going up for the last few years, they are still worth acquiring.
