I initiated my CH system with one M1 running in stereo, driving reasonable efficient (92db) and benign load (8, Min 4) Nola speakers. A second M1 was already on its way, however I though it would be excessive, as a single amp was driving the speakers to any level without effort, and the sound was great. I still decided to keep the second amp, in case I decided to use them with a different, more challenging speakers in the future. Elliot was kind enough to check with the factory, which based on my system suggested to try it in Bridge mode. Once I set it up, the results were impressive, as it became better defined, more "of a piece" than before, space, images and extension improved at lower volume. The fact is that I found myself listening to music at a lower volume than before, as all the definition and weight is there without raising it any further. Same benefits improve as you raise the level. There is an effortlessness flow to the music that is great. What is interesting here is how an already reference level amp, which by itself easily outclassed other reference amps, can be improved in such a clearly defined way.
