Hi Guys,

I'm posting to this heads up for those who will be attending the Florida Audio Expo where we will be presenting three very special exhibits.

Our statement room this year will be in room 408 and will feature our LampizatOr Pacific and Super Komputer.

Speakers for this room will be the gorgeous Daedalus Apollos driven by the over the top VAC Statement 450 iQ Integrated amplifier. cabling will be Wywires.

In addition we will be demonstrating our LampizatOr Amber 3 DAC in room 605 as we team up with our friends at Spatial Audio, Linear Tube Audio and Anticables to recreate the $10,000 room at Capital Audiofest several called the best sound of the show.

Lastly, we will also be presenting our LampizatOr Amber 3 DAC in room 308 alongside our friends at Danacables where Vinh will be showing his latest speakers..

We look forward to seeing you there!

I am personally astonished no one seems to have bought Osram Marconi PX25 balloons.
Is that slang for domestic lightbulbs? Lol
I mean, I'm sure I see Osram on my supermarket shelf.

That's what my wife sez whenever new valves arrive.

"Not more lightbulbs?" is the usual comment.:D

Talking of lights I have just been looking at these.

TBH RK 300B cost more and I wish I had gone for NOS PX25. About £460 is the going rate for one PX25. Why is everyone dumping cash on KR and EML when these are probably better?

Are we guilty of being wrong collectively? We need to find out!!!;):)

Justin, The RKs are known new tubes under warranty. These other tubes are of dubious age and unguaranteed! Until someone tries them at great risk (and shares the experience with a few trusted ears), dont expect to see much interest.

Since you started push them, it has stirred some interest, but unless prices come down some, or we get reputable guarantees from a trusted source...they will remain peripheral.

BTW, just to be accurate, 300b costs almost half the price for the ceapest pair of Marconi AD1:

KR 300B RK LIMITED SERIES (PAIR)
KR AUDIO
Regular price €999.00 Sale

BTW, to be clear, I am not the biggest fan of 300b in Lampi Dacs, but others are. I am yet to hear the touted EML 300b XL yet, so that could make a difference...

So, in general, I do tend to agree with you that a good pair of vintage PX25 or AD1 could be winners.

Justin hasn't heard the KR, RK, or EML performing properly because of his previous preamp and running apogees with 211s. That said RK 300b are BS

All is true.

One thing that's really annoying is looking at the RK price, then seeing the VAT and handling charges increase the price by a substantial amount.

Anyway, owning a valve tester is very highly recommended if you want to buy new or NOS. What's come in as new to me definitely hasn't always measured that well in practice. Very often the NOS tubes come in substantially better. Really.
