Prices are dropping on some OLED. One site listed the LG OLEDB6P 65 inch at $1600 new with free shipping/no tax.

If I could buy it here in Canada for that price I would have already bought two of them; one for my friend and the other for my other friend:

? Info only: http://www.lg.com/ca_en/tvs/lg-OLED65B6P

- And the same TV but this year model: http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product...d-webos-3-5-smart-tv-oled65b7p/10620658.aspx?

The third one would have been an OLED65E6P Series...for me (((3D)))

* Bonus; I'm better off with the Sony OLED XBR65A1E - price wise (compared to the one just above, LG OLEd65E6P, but unfortunately no 3D with this Sony:

Then if I go high and straight (2D only), I can save right now: http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product...d-webos-3-5-smart-tv-oled65e7p/10620654.aspx?

And to go higher, on the wall (2D only with a $2,000 savings): http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product...d-webos-3-5-smart-tv-oled65g7p/10620653.aspx?

? Carl, how much is a house in Santa Cruz area...average? Do artists make a good living? And can you surf all year round?

Bob,

I suppose it's relative compared to what you are used too, but Santa Cruz is expensive for most people. Hippie hovel surf sugar shacks aka 800 to 1200 sq.ft. are going for a million plus or minus a few hundred k USA dollars anywhere close to the beach, with the prices tapering down a bit as you go inland or to the south, and tapering up as you actually approach the shore. By Vancouver standards, it is probably not that expensive for what you get, but Vancouver is a very expensive market, too.

If you throw a rock in any direction in Santa Cruz, it will probably bounce off of several artists, a few homeless guys, a couple of techies and another few trust fund kids.

It is a pretty old community by Cali standards, and a lot of houses were purchased as vacation homes when they were cheap, and handed down. You see a lot of rundowns with weed overgrown lots that you think might be cheap, but are not at all.

I would imagine you better have alternate sources of income if you want to be an artist in Santa Cruz, or have a good promotional apparatus.

Pleasure Point has surf-able waves over 300 days of the year, pretty much year round. This last winter was low waves because of the endless storms and tossy conditions.

Went and saw and "heard" the Sony A1E OLED at Best Buy, because I was already there for something else. Most impressive, lovely ergonomics. He also cranked it up for me with some music and I also liked the sound from the panel/subwoofer system.
