Hi all,

I need about 2" of this stuff and don't want to spend $30 for the minimum amount sold on line.

Need to replace a binding post on my amplifier.

I have read that it is the best for electronics given that it has a silver content of 4%.

Would someone be willing to sell me a small piece?

Will reimburse for cost and shipping.

Please send me a PM if you can help me out.

Best,

Gordon

You don't need silver if it isn't going onto anything without silver in it. Silver is actually added to make solder compatible with silver coated surfaces. If you try to use non-silver solder it won't correctly flow onto the part and it'll eventually corrode.

Decided to go with the Cardas Quad from a cost and performance perspective.

Thanks for the input.
