I had a good listen to the Tranquility and compared it to the Weiss DAC 202.
The Weiss is no-doubt superior in most ways. In my limited experience, it has better micro dynamics and soundstage wrap around that I have never heard from any DACs. Bass also seems to extend for another octave or so.
However, the Tranquility midrange and top end is very charming and "liquid" like, very similar to a good analog turntable in that regard.
It's quite special and I will be keeping it in my desktop system.
