I bought this set as soon as I found out about it, because I'm a huge Pink Floyd and David Gilmour fan and also because I loved his "Remember That Night" Blu-ray. Additionally, I also really like David's "On An Island" vinyl, so this purchase was a no-brainer for me.
This 5-LP boxset was carefully put together and screams quality before you even cue up Side 1 on the first LP. There's a fold-out poster and a 20-page full-size booklet that is of the highest quality. There is no doubt in my mind that everyone involved with this project wanted to put forward the best possible product they could, and they succeeded.
The audio is most definitely equivalent, if not superior, to the quality provided with the packaging...does that make sense to say? This is a brilliantly recorded, engineered and mastered recording. I just wish I had more details about who was involved with it, because I'd seek out more of their productions.
This set is now officially OOP, but copies are still available....see this link! The price is a little higher than what I paid, ok a lot higher ( I paid $49.99), but well worth the investment for a fan. The LP boxset also includes several songs and performances not available on other formats, plus an MP3 download code.
Get it while you still can!
