The company is from belgium as i read on the site, in search for some "" cable technology "" this is what i found besides some info why biamping is not necessary and the suggestion that cables induce audible freq deviations :

Based on theories behind the renowned Live Mk 1 blueprint but with cost no limit, we set ahead to make what we believe to be the most accurate, time coherent and frequency-linear cable in the world. Now it is here!

Live - High Performance Speaker Cables
Achievum Cables high performance speaker cables - likely the most accurate, time coherent and frequency-linear cables in the world
- Closer to the Live experience -
The Live high performance speaker cable ranges was developed in collaboration between high calibre engineers and hi-fi specialists using proprietary Total Signal Integrity Design (TSID). The result is nothing but remarkable and assures an extraordinary accurate and time coherent signal transfer, with an exceptionally low and frequency-linear impedance.

It certainly is not my world the audiophile cable world:D, the freq deviations induced by cables (impedance changes ) are worthless compared to speakers deviations , Only exeption could be boxed cables with bandwithlimiters built inside .
Another example that audiophiles tune their systems with cables , whereas the problems lie elsewhere,....I got to stop repeating myself , fighting audiophiles is like don quichote battling windmills:D

Let me first say that I have no clue about these cables, how they sound or how they are built. On the other hand I would like to comment Andromedaaudio's last comment. Even if the problem concerning frequency deviations are much more apparent in speakers than cables, it is not in my opinion a wast of time to work out solutions to correct these deviations in cables as well - even if they are very small. After all we are a bunch of guys looking for perfection and technology which have a high cost today tend to trickle down to less expensive products in the future.

Price

Live Mk 2 standard spades
2 * 3 meter =>
125 200 Euro
Furutech FP-218 (G) Spades
2 * 3 meter =>
112 700 Euro

I do believe they are saying that with standard spades a 2 meter pair is 125 Euro and a 3 meter pair 200 Euro...

EDIT: I retract the post as I was probably wrong. A jump of 112 to 700 euro in going from 2 to 3 meters doesn't make sense

Ok, but why would they write the cents with three digits and would a purchase of a cables with that price warrant a personal installation by the designer? However your point is fair based on the fact that otherwise those spades would be very, very expensive.

Edit: On the other hand maybe only the last two digits are cents and the cables price is 1252.00 or 1127.00 Euros depending on choice of spade termination.

Typo? 2 * 3 meter => 125 200 Euro - isn't this how the French write numbers?

Hmmm....it looks to me like the pricing is not 112,700 Euros but maybe 112 Euros to 700 Euros (this is copied off of their website)?? While that seems like a substantial jump for a difference of one meter does this look like more normal pricing?? Then again, if it is 112,700 Euros, that is beyond insanity....LOL

Cheers,

We got a reponse from the manufacturer. He is writing that the initial assumption of the price in the opening post of this thread is the correct price (EUR €125.200,-). He explains that the price is set like this because quite a few hifi connoisseurs believes there is a direct dependancy between price and performance. They find the price of the smaller model called Live Mk.1 too low to take it seriously.

This is the height of insanity, pure and simple :( And I thought that the top MIT Cables were beyond crazy...if this is the thought process then price the cables at 12,500 Euro if you need to truly convince the connoisseurs that they need them.....

Cheers,
