What are the best speakers you've ever heard ?

5 pairs!? I have 2 pairs of SC-V, a pair of SC-IV, a pair of SC-III and a SC-II.C.C. center. The only ones being used are 1 pair of SC-Vs.

    Audio Artistry Dvorak Signature

Did you buy those from TMR? I came close to hitting the buy button on those, but I had a question why the sub on the top-left in their pictures wasn't mirror-imaged to match the subs on the right and they dragged their feet answering me, so I passed. I originally messaged them on FB on...

Not exactly "vintage" but Dunlavy's literally rock

Keep your eyes on HiFi Shark and eBay, you'll find pairs come up for sale. The SC-IIIs definitely need a sub (or subs) but they great with a good sealed sub if you spend the time to dial it/them in. I had a pair of B&W ASW600 sealed subs and I thought they worked well together. I also used the...

Not exactly "vintage" but Dunlavy's literally rock

I forgot to post an update here about my situation. The seller was great, and after keeping him in the loop about what I'd found for prices of used/NOS vs new drivers, etc, he refunded me $250 more than the cost of new drivers from Madisound! I received the drivers the Tuesday after Thanksgiving...

Not exactly "vintage" but Dunlavy's literally rock

John Dunlavy used domes in the earlier models, then switched to cones later on because he had some problems with them surviving shipping. I've seen quite a few pics of other pairs with the same dome drivers, and then later pairs with higher serial numbers, with the cones. I don't know exactly...

Not exactly "vintage" but Dunlavy's literally rock

Hi all, I've got a major problem. Back in mid-October I bought a pair of SC-Vs off of US Audio Mart. https://www.usaudiomart.com/details/649662714-dunlavy-sc-v/ The speakers shipped on Oct. 19th, arrived on the 27, and sat in the crate until I got them into my living room on Nov. 7th. It wasn't...

The Sheffield Lab Drum & Track Disc?

Wow, I just now found this thread and never knew there was a newer DXD master version. Of course it's now seemingly impossible to find. I have the original CD and the older XRCD, but would love to have this version. What happened to everything FIM/LIM?

Not exactly "vintage" but Dunlavy's literally rock

What's wrong with the factory drivers? Unless you have the resources and knowledge on Mr. Dunlavy, I'd think toying around with drivers is going to lead to worse results, not better.

Not exactly "vintage" but Dunlavy's literally rock

I'm a relatively new Dunlavy owner. After owning a pair of B&W 802 S3 for the past 18 years I decided I wanted to try something else. I live in Cedar Rapids, IA and drove to Barrington, IL late this past summer to look at what was advertised as a pair of SC-IV/A in excellent condition. Turned...
