I have used both the TAD D700 & D1000TX connected to an Aurender W20 (over AES) and they both sound sublime. Prior to this I used a Merging Player+ as a streamer to both TAD DACs and as a stand alone Streamer+DAC.

Hi - it turns out that it is extremely well made, I will post some photos of the tonearm and packaging when I have a moment. I did end up going for the Murasakino Sumile - what a spectacular cartridge.

This nails it - the TAD is just superb as a single box CD player. I have ploughed money into digital and high res audio: nothing touches Redbood & SACD for the time being. I am sure that will change with time but probably not this year.

It delivered a far more satisfying sound than my Esoteric and I would only part with it for the D600.
If you get a decent deal it's a no brainer.
