    What DACs are you using with your K50 ?

    I am using my K50 (v2) with the PSaudio Directstream (upgraded). Connected by I2S Audioquest. Very satisfied with this combo. No immediate plans to upgrade the DAC. But a Playback Design is on the wish list ;-).

    I now use an iFi Audio LAN iSilencer instead of a fiber optic setup. Incredible upgrade for very little money. The quietness in the sound is sublime. And increased even further when using 2 pieces of iFi Audio LAN iSilencer at strategic locations.

    DaaDs - any experiences?

    I use DAAD 4 twice and DAAD 2 twice. One DAAD 4 in each front corner. 1 * DAAD 2 in the middle between the speakers at 5 feet height. And one DAAD 2 behind the listening chair. With this I create a "Be there" sound. The ideal thing about DAADs is that you can tune! Diffuse/absorb.

    It seems Spectral is becoming unaffordable in Europe. You can therefore see that the number of dealers is decreasing very rapidly. So I think the brand, like Avalon, will soon disappear from the European market.

    Hi Jon, I did make a stupid Fuse change in my DMC30-SS. Replaced the stock fuse by a SR blue fuse a few years ago. I was iritated by the sibilance in a lot of my records. Forgotten about the fuse change till yesterday. Replaced the SR fuse by the stock fuse and that helps a lot. Don't ask...

    Absolutely agree. But I'm curious about experiences from K50 users. I was surprised that i hear almost no difference between the MIT Oracle MAX XLR (as AES3 Digital connection) and a $30 HDMI (as I2S Digital connection) cable. My DAC is the PS audio Directstream.
