I actually dont recall which track I played for Ron, but that recording Jason did was the Kevin Lovejoy trio. Kevin flew in from New York and performed at the First Presbyterian church in Georgetown TX. Since I run the Austin Audio Society and am a part of the Austin Jazz Society we can record...

Hello WBF Members!
We are proud to announce that after many years of searching we decided on Acoustic Fields as the gold standard of acoustic treatment to maximize system performance in small rooms.
This was a lengthy and difficult process of testing many different panels individually. We were...
Have to agree with Caesar as this has been one of the most enjoyable reads since I have been on WBF. I admire your passion and tenacity to really get the horns dialed it. As a horn man myself I can attest to the immense challenge of this undertaking. Kudos to you and I hope to one day get to...
The eagle has landed! The 4 chassis Zephyrus ultimate phonostage joins the rest of the Aries Cerat Legend equipment to create a full Legend Series System! Stay tuned for a lot of videos showing this bad boy in action next week

Just posted a video walking through all of the latest changes to the Ultra in the latest release.

Hello Everyone,
I finally got around to doing a full run through of the updates of the latest release from Pink Faun for Stylus. Forgot to mention in the video the improvements in sound as I was focused on getting the features covered. There is a definite improvement in the midrange and...
And one more note...
Measuring within .0001 or some crazy super accurate reading while nice is not really a value add. Reason? Because most arms do not have this level of super fine microscopic adjustment. As noted in this thread, knobs, or other conveniences in making adjustments often are...
I use the ClearAudio Weightwatcher.
I can't say what is the best one to get so long as it has a flat surface unobstructed by anything surrounding the landing zone and offers calibration + weight. I have had some carts that have recessed styli/cantilevers that wont reach because the body hits...
This is very true. So one would think that a higher bit depth would not make a difference. So rather than dismiss this entirely, I am always looking for new and relevant content to promote to the member of the society. If it is just 1's and 0's that make up the audio performance in the DAC then...
I didnt link it to derail the topic, but to demonstrate that video recordings are:
1) Flawed and do not represent the full scope of the system, but..
2) Can and do provide a level of insight into the quality of sound that the hardware and system can deliver even if highly degraded
3) And also...
Well the opinions based on scientific data (looked and asked for the easy button) were all over the place from what is the right sampling rate to bit depth so figured we would try them all. Logically what you say makes sense, but it didn't pan out that way from the results. So thats where I...
It definitely wasnt the recording. There was a distinct buzzing in the top of the frequency range that was eliminated with a filter. You can hear it in the recording it is very colored like a blanket over the speaker
Here is a good intro and I plan to add a video tutorial of Stylus (their playback software) soon
