Congratz with your GG. I am using a Panatela Reserva USB Cable from Sablon Audio with great succes between my GG and audio server. Besides the product itself the customer service is also A+.

Jcat launches the new, 'Femto' USB card

Wow, just wow .I flashed the firmware on the JCAT usbcard on Thursday, spend the whole day listening yesterday and still am very impressed today. Unbelievable, but this new firmware elevates my system to new heights. @Marcin_gps : I power the JCAT card with an external lpsu, should I remove...

Jcat launches the new, 'Femto' USB card

Despite not being Elberoth, I have tested win10 and would go with windows server 2016 (the femtocard works under ws2016 as well). IMHO ws2016+AO scripts is the clear winner. Great news! Can't wait till I got my system up and running again (thanks to the wonderful service of HDPlex that should...

Anyone Using A Lampizator Golden Gate (with volume control) Directly Into Your Power Amp?

I am using my GG (with superclocks and dsd512 engine and pcm engine) with a pre because of the layout of my set (stereo and surround combined). I use the Classe Omega MKII, and I don't have the feeling of missing out on something...

I have an Emission Labs 5U4GM for sale, maybe interesting for you?

    [DAC] dCS Paganini OR Debussy

The Paganini (my previous dac) is better then the Debussy IMHO. I did a whole lot of comparison when I was looking for a dac upgrade(Scarlatti, EmmLabs dac2, total dac and even aries cerat), and finally settled with a lampizator golden gate.

Is there a way to convert the Tidal stream to WAV before sending it to streamer or DAC?

I use the roon player on a Macbook Pro (but you could also use a tablet or smartphone I believe), the tidal stream goes from roon player to roon server on my control pc. In roon you can select HQPlayer as output, as long as you are on the same LAN. HQPlayer samples up the tidal stream to DSD512...

Is there a way to convert the Tidal stream to WAV before sending it to streamer or DAC?

I get the most out of Tidal (hardly listen to anything else) by using Roon and HQPlayer to sample everything up to 512DSD. I think this is the best way to get the most out of it. I am using a dual streamer setup (both fully passively cooled, no mechanical-moving components, lpsu's and a lot of...

Lampizator Golden Gate, SE version, 512dsd and RTRpcm dacs

I am interested in this as well. Is it the Aqua Formula?

    Lampi GG 512dsd + 44k + 48k superclocks + RTR PCM + KR242 + grounding post + SGM server----

I tried SPDIF with a PPA DDC in the chain. The maximum high rez I could play over SPDIF was 24 bit 192khz.

Which is better way to connect lampi golden gate?

+1, the Sablon unpowered usb cable is simply fantastic sounding.

    Lampi GG 512dsd + 44k + 48k superclocks + RTR PCM + KR242 + grounding post + SGM server----

Could you elaborate a bit on the comparison please? Which sounded best to you, and what entailed the full out pc solution?

GG, Nagra HD, Aqua Formula, and SGM server.

I've got the powerless "2017" Sablon usb cable now for three weeks and the results are quite spectacular. The inky backgrounds and superb low noise floor brings out a lot of details that I never was able to hear before. With my dual streamer setup being down at the moment, I am wondering if...

    KR 242, Elrog 300, px4, px25, EML and KR 5u4g, and KR 274b

Hey Mark, do you have any idea which caps I have in my GG?

    Lampi GG 512dsd + 44k + 48k superclocks + RTR PCM + KR242 + grounding post + SGM server----

I believe you need a 6700K or equivalent to be able to upsample to DSD512. Currently I am using a 6950x which can also handle the job without any hickups.

    Lampi GG 512dsd + 44k + 48k superclocks + RTR PCM + KR242 + grounding post + SGM server----

Could you describe the differences tween the KR and EML (and also which EML is used)? I might be interested, but I have to check which EML I am using at the moment. Is there something else to check wether I could use this KR on my GG?

    Lampi GG 512dsd + 44k + 48k superclocks + RTR PCM + KR242 + grounding post + SGM server----

Some feedback from my side regarding the DSD512 engine. I have a Golden Gate which does have the superclocks and DS512 engine, but also has the older basic PCM engine. When I bought the GG I used my dual streamer setup with JPlay (streaming Tidal through ASIObridge towards JPlay). I connect as...

    KR 242, Elrog 300, px4, px25, EML and KR 5u4g, and KR 274b

I will be able to provide an update in a few days since I ordered one yesterday evening. Can't wait to test this out in combination with the new JCat femto usb card.

    Golden Gate DAC arrives.

I also believe an external preamp has an edge over a dac with preamp section. I always thought that adding more to the signal chain would end up in less quality. Untill I had the chance to try out an ARC REF5SE together with a dCS Paganini. Allthough differences were slim, the system delivered...

    Lampi GG 512dsd + 44k + 48k superclocks + RTR PCM + KR242 + grounding post + SGM server----

Thanks Mark & Christoph, I will try these settings out with some local files first, before trying Roon and Roonserver again.
