spiritofmusic, what specifically would you like to know about the APL DSD-MR?
I have one of the first models of the new MK2 version.
If you were referring to Chris Connaker's review, his remarks concerned the earlier MK1 version.
As an audiophile, it's very tempting to listen for whether a...
JPLAY FEMTO was recently released.
It's a significant step beyond the previous version of JPLAY.
I've been a beta tester for the better part of two weeks and I find the sound to be outstanding.
It's my go to player at this time and I've used many different players in Windows, Mac and Linux...
OK, Pearse. Please forget my previous post.
I think I found my answer. The device comes with a usb bluetooth transmitter which, based on your experience, works with the player.
It's ordered.
Thanks very much for the help.

Hey Pearse,
Thanks for the interesting suggestion.
I'm assuming the keyboard is bluetooth capable.
But how does the computer receive bluetooth commands?
I didn't think wtfplay could receive commands in bluetooth.
Best regards,
Joel
If I had read the instructions, I would have known this, Pearse. :)
Thanks for the information.
Given the limitations of wtfplay, what are you using for a server (laptop, server with monitor, keyboard, and mouse)?
Joel
Thanks for the information, Sligolad.
So you're running the player off of the same SSD you're using for music files?
Or are you running the player off of a different type of drive?
If a different drive, what are you using?
And thanks also for the information about FAT32 formatting. I...
Sligolad,
First and most of all, thanks very much for posting this information.
I currently use Daphile and have airways believed that when it comes to digital servers, less is more.
I can't wait to try this program.
Any suggestions as regards the best specific storage media to use ...
FitEar 334 IEM + AK240 DAP + Chord Hugo
For portability, and by that I mean the ability to carry the items on to a plane, it just doesn't get any better . . . unless of course you get the new AK380.

I use a Mutec MC-3+ and an atomic clock on my DCS Debussy. Definitely an improvement. I wouldn't do without it.
Consider that even DCS' Vivaldi stack includes an external clock as one of its components.
Joel
jkeny,
I'm not sure how long someone has to have been using JPLAY to be a new user, but my JPLAY experience really began with 5.1.
In short, I won't listen to digital without it. And realize I tried JPLAY version 4 and didn't think much of it. So when I tried 5.1 my inclination was not to like...
"I think a more appropriate analogy is every person ordering the same choice, but one person using a spoon instead of a fork, and stating their food tastes much better than your meal because eating it with a spoon makes food taste better."
Your analogy betrays your bias, Julf. You're as certain...
I think it would be great if each person who posted mentioned whether they've tried JPLAY or not.
Those who have not tried it, even though there's a free trial, and are sure it won't do anything, mystify me.
You can't be surprised? Your understanding of the sciences surrounding this product...
