I use pure solid core silver throughout my signal path and have never heard this outcome, despite popular belief out there. To my ears silver sounds more natural. Replaced all the internal copper wires in my Coincident PRE speakers with silver and couldn't be happier with the change.- cal3713

I am 100% a believer in silver. It just sounds more natural to me... at least in my limited experience/comparisons. Tempo electric and VH Audio for those of us with modest budgets. It's not trolling when it's the truth. It's clearly visible in the impulse response graphs, and as I said before... what's interesting to me is that some people really like that crossover solution and some do not. There are always tradeoffs. Wilson clearly prefers frequency domain...- cal3713

And I wonder if much of the "controversy" (i.e., variability in opinions) regarding Wilsons has to do with listener sensitivity to the various time-domain (vs. frequency domain) issues identified...- cal3713

What’s the world’s best 2 watt amplifier?
I too tried to replace a SET with a Lyngdorf. Honestly, it made me kind of dizzy, like the sound had been put through a blender. I had the same problem with the PS Audio Directstream DAC. Something about that digital manipulation just doesn't work for me. Bizzare.- cal3713
