Are Ethernet tweaks/gimmicks turning out to be like the same in the USB space?

"Or better yet, if you have a system that uses i2s to the dac, use fiber to the device that then connects to the dac." This might be your experience and if so then I'm glad it's working well for you. But as a general statement it's way off base for a few reasons. Firstly you need a device...

Network Acoustics - Tempus network switch

Thanks @Jambo - I've been waiting for someone to start a thread about the Tempus. I have the Muon Streaming system which is fantastic and the Muon USB which displaced a Sablon Evo USB and in my book that's quite an achievement as Mark Coles has been knocking it out of the proverbial park for...

Innuos Statement nextgen v Antipodes K50

I'm a huge Innuos fan as own the Zenith SE, Phoenix and PhoenixNet so I'm not currently in the market for a server. But if I was server shopping then from what I've read the Grimm MU1 would be high on my list to consider. With a DAC that likes upsampled content like the Dave does it fits well...

Melco / Dela S10 Switch : more and more expensive audiophile switches!

Good find @CKKeung 600k Yen is approx 4.1k GBP. Ouch! So reading the Google translate of the page it seems the toroidal linear PSU is the main factor behind the doubled price. That and the ability to switch the LED off! Did I miss anything else? An S100 and a Farad Super3 or Paul...

    Member Signatures

Not that it matters but I added my system to my signature on the back of this thread. To be honest I had to check previous posts as I assumed it was already on there. I'm usually more active on AS/CA. I'm widely in favour of signatures but two thoughts: A. Many people are lurkers because it's...

    M12 Gold Switch

Thanks for the link and very interesting. I'm confused that there is no mention of the power supply though. All these devices (EtherRegen, OpticalModule, sNH-10G) really scale with a great PSU. This with the OXCO clocks would presumably be very sensitive to power supply. Yet they don't mention...

    M12 Gold Switch

Hope you don't mind if I ask. Googled this but site was in Chinese and for some reason chrome didn't offer to translate. Looks like a high-end version of Sonore Optical Module but LAN in and out rather than LAN in SFP out. Is that right? Does it need a high performance LPSU as well? Looks...

Yet another groundbox, but this Setchi is quite special

Fair enough and thanks for your candour.

Yet another groundbox, but this Setchi is quite special

At the risk of asking a dumb question, is raising the price to reflect the new economics not an option? Or is it more a case of wanting to focus on the Extreme? Cheers, Alan

Yet another groundbox, but this Setchi is quite special

I'm potentially interested in a D2 and a bit disappointed that Taiko have discontinued them. But at the end of the day Taiko have the right to focus on the products they wish to offer and I'm happy to respect that. Any business owner has the right to decide what direction to pursue.

Hi Emile, Thanks for getting back to me. I guess I'll see if I can pick up a pre-loved one. Cheers, Alan

Yet another groundbox, but this Setchi is quite special

Hi @Taiko Audio , I read this thread and some comments from people saying the Setchi D2 made a significant impact on their Zenith SE's. So I was about to order one but it looks like you've discontinued these. Is that correct? Assuming they are discontinued do you mind if I ask why you stopped...

    Entreq Tellus grounding

Brilliant - Thanks @LL21 I've been toying with an Entreq or grounding solution for years. Just trying to get my head around it as all a bit vague. Don't get me wrong. I've learned the hard way in this hobby to suspend the 'science' and trust my 'ears' But still helps to understand the...

    Entreq Tellus grounding

Hi All, I've just dipped my toes into the Entreq waters so hopefully you'll forgive what might be a daft question. Did my best to read this great thread but it's a bit long. Bought a Tellus II and the Konstantin Infinity cable which I've connected to the RCA output of my DAC. Also ordered...

Network Improvements and their Impact on Sound Quality

After years of lurking on WBF my second post this morning. Call me prolific ;) @Blackmorec / Steve - I'm taking your advice belatedly but rather than repurposing my DC3 which is on it's way to a new happy owner in Canada I'm focusing on my entire network. Currently I have: Broadband provider...
