Any methods for objectively setting maximum phono gain without clipping inputs on the pre-amp/receiver? I have a PC oscilloscope and can put signals through the hifi to it, so I can see, for instance, a 1khz sine wave from one of my test records - but it's recorded low so I cannot cause it to... -
Spectacles interfere with sound quality?
Had an interesting listening experience this afternoon, which I wanted to share and see if anybody else has noticed similar? I just turned 54. I've been wearing glasses since age 6. I'd say I've been listening critically to audio since age 15 when I set up my first separates hifi. And yet...- rDin

Question for Brinkmann owners...
I read in a review that Brinkmann expect owners to leave the platter spinning to keep the bearings warmed up and speed stabilised. So, those that own a Brinkmann, do you leave it on between sessions or turn it off? Asking, as my Bardo turns up today!- rDin
