    Accuphase and Krell

Thanks for this. Can you comment on the headphone output of the Accuphase? I remember a WhatHiFi review of a comparable Luxman integrated that said the headphone output was disappointing. Accuphase is not Luxman of course, but I wonder if the headphone section in these big integrateds can...

    Accuphase and Krell

Amazing. One reason I like the Accuphase is that it's a one-box solution for my speakers and headphones, but if I am thinking about SR1's anyway, then maybe it makes sense to keep it a separate system. I love the looks of the VM. Does it use a 6sl7 or 6sn7?

    Accuphase and Krell

Thanks for this. One thing I like about Accuphase is that it seems like it would be an end-gamer -- for at least 10 years.

    Accuphase and Krell

Thanks. I'll have to read up on it. Not familiar with Italian engineering but I once owned a pair of Opera Callas monitors that I liked a lot.

    Accuphase and Krell

Wow, what a coincidence. I assume you like the VM-1a pairing better than the Krell pairing? It looks like the ultimate package.

    Accuphase and Krell

Thanks, yyzSB. Curious, which headphones are you using with the 175XD? Because lately I've been thinking that if I go with the K-300i, I might try to pair it with a speaker-amp headphone such as the RAAL SR1a.

Thanks Thanks! You have heard both machines?

    Accuphase and Krell

I have the opportunity to make a snap decision between an Accuphase e-380 and a Krell k-300i. I haven't heard either but have read enough to understand that they are quite different animals. If price were equal, which would be considered the superior machine? And yes I know that that is a...

    usb requirements

I have a PS Audio DAC which is a very good DAC. But I'm just not sure that a Macbook source is a proper match for a high end cable.

I have no immediate plans for that. That's why I think I should just stick with my Belkin Gold. I'm not sure if a higher class cable would show any sonic advantage.

    usb requirements

Is it overkill to get a top-league cable like a Wireworld Platinum in order to stream internet radio (and also some music files) from a Macbook to a DAC?

How do you open the top of a ceramic stovetop?

I have a GE oven/range, model JSP47-SHSS. I need to replace the infinite switch on one of the stovetop burners. I can't figure out how to lift the top. The videos on Youtube don't seem to match up with this range. Anyone have any experience with this model?

    Triton v3, isolation, footers

Thanks, guys. I probably should remove the brass cones. I read an earlier post where Caelin strongly warned against spikes.

    Triton v3, isolation, footers

Hello, I am a long-time reader, first-time poster. I recently purchased a Triton and I hope someone can offer some advice on isolation. For example, are you using additional isolation? I have read that the Triton incorporates many anti-resonance properties so that additional platforms, etc are...
