    Update on Damar Hamlin

Quite scary how many pro athletes collapse on the field due to cardiac issues and die in the past 1,5 years, the numbers are shocking. Happy to hear this young man is getting better and hopefully up and running again in no time. Many others haven´t been that lucky, may they all rest in peace...

What are the Top Horn Speakers in the World Today? Vox Olympian vs Avantgarde Trio vs ???

Owned the Avantgarde Trio LE26 with 4x Bass Horn and changed to Aries Cerat Symphonia LE just recently. In 30+ years in this hobby, i haven´t heard anything that performs in the High/Mid/Mid bass like the Symphonia´s do. The level of realism coming out of these beauties is simply mind bending.

    FTA Thebe Compared to Ganymede?

Jumping in to this thread as we are offering our beloved Ganymede cable from our "small" showroom, which we closed down after moving to new facilities. The Ganymede in our system, which has Kondo cables throughout on an Aries Cerat system, replaced our Kondo Theme 4.1 cable as it was better in...

Beyerdynamic MM-1 + Room EQ or Audionet Carma will deliver the goods. Get the calibration file from Beyerdynamic and you are very close to professional grade measures. Way enough for room treatment.

I figured with the Son, that it makes a huge difference, where you place them. I was lucky enough to bought it straight from Wolf and followed his advises, especially the one with the sorbotan disks he delivers with the Son´s, and recommends their use, even on carpet flooring. Once i take them...

Well, you are right. Without King Crimson and Pink Floyd, the three bands i mentioned, would most likely not even exist. Saw King Crimson live in Frankfurt in 2019. My buddy and i did not claim it to be the best concert we‘ve ever been, but we agreed that we haven‘t seen better yet

That is exactly the reason why i bought the Son‘s and gave away my lovely Nenuphar‘s.

Well, yes, Mars Volta is a world for itself and the Son´s somehow share my passion for them . Saw TMV live in Paradiso/Amsterdam one day after a Pearl Jam concert in Ziggo Dome back in 2012. Hell of a loud weekend TMV, one of the greatest band´s that hardly anybody nows, almost as worse as it...

I´d say, you should give it a listen yourself. To me personally it has pretty much everything i expect from a speaker. Dynamics are simply impressive, clean, powerful, very well articulated and way bigger then you would suggest from a speaker that size. Above all, they have great balance, which...

At Wolf von Langa´s place, i did listen to them with a mono block set from Air Tight 211 and a primary control front end with a Lyra cartridge, i believe it was a Atlas. Convinced me to buy the Son´s. Hooked it up on my all Aries Cerat rigg, with the Genus back then, and i liked it even more...

Well, i´d say, listening to LedZep (which btw, i grew up with as a ´74 born, and really love ever since) it is simply not possible to enjoy this kind of music with the Cube´s ! I really love what the Nenuphar does with some music, but LedZep, The Mars Volta and Fat Freddys Drop is a no go...

I owned the Cube Audio Nenophar as well and changed it to a Wolf von Langa Son, sold the Nenuphar to a happy new owner. To me, the Nenuphar is the perfect speaker for moderate sized rooms and acoustic music. Unmatched in terms of realism on acoustic instruments. The Son, overall, is the best...

    Will's Horn Finalists

That‘s a pity, as the option to hear them upfront, is rather difficult i guess.... shipping cost alone will make this a problem, leave customs and responsibility issues aside. Enjoy your system, it looks really nice and promising

    Will's Horn Finalists

I personally haven´t, but everyone who did, that i heard of, preferred the 813, which kinda makes sense. It´s not just Stavros favorite tube, but also the Genus was originally designed around this tube. The 845 is build, to make sure that the existing 813´s have enough spare tubes, as this tube...

Not too sure if the 280´s in the Genus are actually for the pre amp section, that´s at least how i understood it, but not really sure since you know the systems much better then i do.

I honestly haven´t set it up yet. Escaped Germany before the latest lock down in Dec., enjoying myself at the seaside way south, wondering how it happened to be, that the democrats in Germany are on the streets and demonstrating, while the leading government is full of fascists...Sad but...

I´d say, perfectly fine. Probably much related to the fact, that the field coil driver is not handling the lowest frequencies, which are mostly handled by the passive radiator on the back of the Son´s. At least, if i got it right ....

Thanks for the insights. I´m waiting on things returning to normal again and will then have extended listen to the WvL Chicago´s, which is top of the list without competition at the moment. By now, i am very much tempted to just order them, but i do not know for sure if they will work in my...

Hi Gemini, differences, in general, i described in previous posts in this thread. If you then decide, the Nenuphar is for you, you don´t need to look any further, as my pair is...

Not out of business, but last time when we had a phone call, it seemed to me like he´s not just slowed down business by a huge margin, i believe he´s sick of the market, just as many other audio companies i know. 95% rubbish dealers (the least), marketing full of lies and tricks and clients who...

well, if that´s the case, it´s a no brainer. Haven´t heard Tool or Massive attack from any widebander that came close to the Cube´s. The Son smokes it, especially with that music, the Son will blow your mind !
