Mik indeed, kindly held my hand through the instillation and set up of the Kuzma Air line on my TD124 MKII.
It was a daunting prospect at first and Wife acceptance factor of = 0...
With Mik's expertise and vast experience it's been a dream to use and next to no maintenance to date. I...
I have to say I am no CD fan, format is horrible for me, sound is obviously fantastic when all things align. But i just never got on with them, ended up in the car scratched to hell and don't get me started on the design of the Jewel case with those hinge tabs!!
Ripped all my CDs to...
Indeed the LFD cable family in my system have made an astonishing difference to the presentation, actually a greater leap to what I wanted to hear from my equipment than any Tonearm or component change, it was that big. It did make me rethink the whole merry go round of Tonearm and box...
Excuse my ignorance regarding the A type SPU, but does the available adapter for the A type not bring it in line with the regular alignment of the classic SPUs? or do they simply not line up
Point taken about the SPU A , but i think the original post wasn't really referring to the A type?
I don't have a Glanz, but I have heard one on numerous lengthy sessions with and without SPUs (not an A!)....
the original comment about the Glanz pissing on the Groovemaster was made light...
If one purchases wisely and purchases minty used, the Glanz is ($4565) which is not as you say, 4 times the Groovemaster ($2,915.00 - $3,205.00) is it worth the extra $1360? ....I think so.
Hmm, I have to say, imho, the Glanz MH-104S
urinates all over the Groovemaster with an SPU. It's a terrific combination!
One for sale used below (rare to see them come up)

Bitten by an LFD Scorpion !!
Like most of us, I have spent a good few hard earned hifi tokens on box swapping in search of the end game sound. Obviously chasing one's tail in the process. I was advised by Mik @Unique audio to concentrate on optimising my system and the components I had and stop...
Another Richard Bews cable fan here.
I too was introduced by Mik @ Unique Audio to LFD cabling.
I have had the privilage of hearing some crazy sounding and even crazier looking Frankenstein cables at Unique Audio.
The cabling so large that no phono RCA or Din plug can handle, so all the...
For us mere mortals, we don't have dedicated listening rooms in our modest sized homes.
Besides, music should be part of the family in a central space where all can enjoy.
Sure Ked,... As you can see Tom's system had a profound impact on me
Actually different speakers and Tannoy Monitor Gold 12'' drivers, Tom has 12'' HPD's.
A very well written journey of an esoteric system's evolution, always pushing the envelope.
I've had the pleasure of listening to Tom's system on many occasions and the latest component line up really hits the mark in many ways. Nicely revealing, musically engaging and extremely satisfying, the...
hmmm...Not exactly very cheap or very practical (Vintage 15 inch monitor tannoy gold) given he lives in Spain
but yes a cheaper option than commercial off the shelf.
Another Etsuro Urushi Cobalt user here!...
It's an incredible cartridge, balanced and classy.
I've had the privilage of hearing the complete range of Etsuro cartridges all the way up to Special editions of both the Etsuro Urushi Bordeaux and Top of the Range Gold cartridges on many occasions...
