Psvane Acme Series (new flagship series)

After a month or so or listening I could not be happier. The MZ3 opened up the sound stage and cooled off the LM-219ia which seemed bright at times. I saw some M3 Turbo speakers for sale locally and am doing my thing. I'll let you kow if I can get something done. The only compliant I have...

Psvane Acme Series (new flagship series)

I have not heard an open back speaker before. My first reaction is "how can an open back create bass"? The more I read reviews about Spatial and pureaudioproject speakers it seems they have it nailed. Everyone claims the box bang is gone and I know that boxy bass bang sound all too well...

Psvane Acme Series (new flagship series)

Well, the microZOTL MZ3 arrived late yesterday afternoon. The unit was burned in at Linear Audio and setup was simple. It was ready to go in minutes. I swapped out the streamer and used my Qobuz->, Blusound 2i ->Chord Qutest->MZ3->LM219ia->Klipsch Cornwall III. The MZ3 as a pre-amp brings...

Psvane Acme Series (new flagship series)

I finally bit the bullet an ordered a microZOTL MZ3 from Mark over at Linear Audio. After a three week build and burn wait they shipped the unit last night. I expect to have it up and running in my system before the weekend. Qobuz->Intel NUC i7, 32GB RAM NVME SSD->Audivarna->Chord...

I look forward to your comparison of the ACME vs Elrog 300bs

Psvane Acme Series (new flagship series)

OI ordered the MicroZotl mz3 yesterday and am looking forward to using it as a pre-amp for the LM-219ia and Headphone amp for Fostex cans. After much back and forth between the PrimaLuna EVO300 and mz3 I chose the mz3. I will update you guys on what (if any) improvement to the listening...

Psvane Acme Series (new flagship series)

Figured out the high pitched noise....I recently switched to a Google Fi phone which uses T-mobile and Sprint. Since the change from Verizon I have heard the high pitch when my cell phone is in my audio room.

Psvane Acme Series (new flagship series)

Overall once its settled down... The acme 300bs are expressive and refined sounding and very pleasing to the ears. So much so that I decided to take a step further and made the purchase of the acme 845s. I alrdy have it and will be hooking it up soon. Will post further impressions soon. My...

Psvane Acme Series (new flagship series)

Interesting comment about the preamp. I have never owned one having always used integrated amplifiers and heard the LM 219ia pre is sub par. The 300B, 845 and 12ax7 (input) have all been upgraded. I am looking for a 310a which is not as rare as the 300B in terms of NOS. Having read many...

Psvane Acme Series (new flagship series)

I received the PSVANE ACME valves and could not be happier. The wet blanket is gone and I haven't even broken them in yet. I may wait before getting the preamp. Current setup. Tidal--BluOS node2i--LM219ia (PSVANE ACME)-- Klipsch Cornwall. It sounds pretty good.

Jamato8, Forgot to mention...I saw your headphone picture on the other board. How do the Fostex TH900MK2 compare with the rest of your HP arsenal?

Psvane Acme Series (new flagship series)

The Mz3 seems to be a better value that the Mz2 considering the headphone piece and "bass slam" among other things. The Mz3 is almost like newer version on the Mz2 with more features The next question is music source. I was on a pretty tight budget when I got the LM219ia and opted for the...

Psvane Acme Series (new flagship series)

It's good to know the MZ3 has a little more refinement and is a good headphone AMP. Last year I purchased an Astell Kern DAC and Fostex TH900MK2 headhones. No compliants with the setup and happy it's portable. I'm curious what a decent preamp headphone amp would sound like with the MK2's...

Psvane Acme Series (new flagship series)

I'm looking forward to hearing the ACME tubes in the 219ia. I have to livewith the blue sound node2i, 219ia preamp and Cornwalls until the tubes are broken in and will decide which preamp makes the most sense. I'm leaning towards the MZ3 because buying an MZ2 and rebuilding is not something I...

Psvane Acme Series (new flagship series)

Excellent, I was staying away from the pre-amp for know because I wasn't sure what matched up well with a SET. I saw a cheap, mid and high end model. other that a tape out and additional inputs is the much difference in them or would the microZOTL MZ2 clean up the 219? I ask because I have...

Psvane Acme Series (new flagship series)

I appreciate your comments. I am hoping I can uncover some of the sound I was looking for with the tubes and will investigate pre-amps next if I don't have to focus on speakers. Does the microzotl match up well with tube amps compared to other pre-amps?

Psvane Acme Series (new flagship series)

I setup the LM219ia powered cornwalls in an audio room that is 12x23. I then played around with the corner and wall speaker placement to get the best sound. I liked them best o the short wall with inside edge on the wall with the outside corners about 6 inches away. The listening couch is...

Psvane Acme Series (new flagship series)

New to the forum.... I picked up a used LM 219ia pretty cheap (relatively speaking) last year and it seems to have impressed me less than my expectations. After much anguish I decided to order new tubes. I went with matched pairs of the Psvane ACME Supreme 300B, Psvane ACME Supreme 845 and SG...
