    Stromtank........

    The amps are plugged into the wall thru a 20 amp outlet. In general, most feel the 2500 doesn’t have enough power to allow amps to maximize dynamics. My server, disc player, DAC and TV are powered by the Stromtank.

    Addressing harmful effects of sunlight on my gear

    In my living room, my audio gear (everything but my speakers) is in a cabinet which is directly in front of a glass pane window. I’m considering applying a sun filter to address any harmful effects from the sun. Do I need to block UV light, heat, or both? Any help is appreciated thanks

    Peter, The Transparent cables were calibrated to my system. The Transparent Ref XL is 17.4K/10 ft The AQ Firebird is 17.5K/10 ft MB Ultra=25K/10 feet I presently own Synergistic Research CTS speaker cables.

    The Alexx is about 6 inches deeper than the Alexia. I was hoping for a depth footprint like the Maxx 3. Any thoughts as to the suitability of having this speaker closer to the wall behind it compared to the Alexia? I have limited depth in my living room. Height is not a problem.

    I auditioned the D'ag stereo amp with my Alexias, and went with stereo Burmester 911Mk3 instead. There was a huge gap in weight and oomph between the two. Hope that helps.
