    Natural Sound

Resonates with me. Great account that speaks to my objectives. So many of today's gear focuses almost entirely on 'flat frequency response'. All fine and well, but there is more, much more, as this excellent account of Peter's own journey reveals. 'Naturalness' is an elusive quality.

Another question. Does this converter have a transceiver built in? There is no possibility to put the transceiver (see pic) in this converter.

Using Power Conditioner to eliminate Noise carried over Ethernet

Thats great Al, will definitely give it a try. I am starting to understand and hear the benefits of isolation from noise in the system. The Nighthawk is a quality router, and it will be good to use it if there is even a subtle benefit in terms of better sound. With respect to my dilemma...

Using Power Conditioner to eliminate Noise carried over Ethernet

Great answer Alrainbow! Okay I think I understand what you are indicating and it makes sense. So the the control app that is used to control the streamer NOT directly connecting to the streamer via wifi, but via the router / modem, which then sends the command via the internet. On your...

Using Power Conditioner to eliminate Noise carried over Ethernet

Thanks Alrainbow. Curious then if that is the case, how does one keep the benefit of streaming directly from the internet as opposed to wifi, which is streaming from the iphone/iPad. The EverSolo DMP-A6 streamer uses the mobile app to control the unit.

Using Power Conditioner to eliminate Noise carried over Ethernet

Hi RepublicofTexas! I went with your recommendation on the Teradak TS212. And the Cisco 2960G switch. As Superdad has pointed out, the cable/ transceivers I got is not the right one. I need the two transceiver modules and the fiber cable. Can you remind me again of your preference? I love the...

Need Help Connecting Teradak Eth to Fiber Converter

Superdad kindly replied on another thread. He indicated the need to have Cisco-compatible transceivers, and the cable I have is indeed Cisco. However it prompted me to look more closely at the part number, SFP-H10GB-CU1M. This might be the problem? The 2960G is gigabit and I am now not so sure...

Using Power Conditioner to eliminate Noise carried over Ethernet

JPWelcher, thanks. Okay I think i understand the chain. Immediately following the ethernet filter, an ethernet cable feeds into a Eth to FO converter, which carries the signal via FO out to a FO to Eth converter where the ethernet cable out feeds the streamer?
