LS5/9F Made a Splash at Montreal.

Thank you, yes I think they look good too. After a week they still sound closed in but I hope they soon will start to open up.

LS5/9F Made a Splash at Montreal.

I received last week my LS5/9f pair in walnut. They have changed the design a bit. Smaller front grille and the plinths are a bit more rounder looking. Very nice improvements I must say. I was wondering about if spikes are preferred or other type of feet? I have a wooden parquet floor in oak so...

Do you know if this is mentioned in THE pricelist as the Spdif output with OXCO reclocking or a completely new?

    LDMS Server

Yes, a bit anyway. Now I use an antipodes S40 as the server duty only with an LDMS Pico as the player. I have the black on the right. It comes with included powersupply ( a Farad super 3). I also choose to reclock the USB outsignal with an internal Ideon reclocker. My combination with...

    Who’s up for a $2800 fuse?

I started with the Black QSA. Bought 5 at once, ( they are pretty cheap). But what I heard was a very nice upgrade. I have not been able yet to change the 2 fuses in my Vinnie Rossi amp but will soon.

    Good mid-price audiophile switches

I have only had it connected some few hours. Its placed right in front of the ER. One can hear better soundstage, smoother and clearer cymbals. A lot more air, reverbs and room information decays in a natural way. More and clear lowend. Vocals seem easier to hear the lyrics. Hope this helps:)

    Good mid-price audiophile switches

I just now ordered a switch from Afterdark. Its actually a OXCO modded Netgear GS105 with LT3045 and prince grade of the oxco. All is powered with a LPSU. Should be fine also for video and so on. I already have a etherregen with external Afterdark clock so I hope this will improve further.

    Good mid-price audiophile switches

Thank you Dan, very impressive write up. As for the final stage. Have you considered ENO ag, Ediscreation fiber box, or the new Waversa Lan EXT-1 isolator. I have not tried either of them and they may work a bit different from each other. I only use a an etherregen with external Afterdark OXCO...

    Antipodes CX+EX

Yes my thinking was if its not better to sell the CX and buy a S30+ LPSU of some kind. I have a S40 that replaced an EX. The S40 with SMPS outclassed the EX properly right away. Thats how good the new generation is contra the old.

    Antipodes CX+EX

I received a newsletter from Antipodes. The new Oladra upgrade programme is out. 1950USD, fair price or not? Considering a new S30 is very appealing and maybe better than a CX ( according a user on Audiogon) https://antipodes.audio/antipodes-upgrades.php

Introduction of my new Antipodes K50 Music Server

When I had the Antipodes EX I sent an email to Antipodes, asking if they thought a USB reclocker would be of benefit. And replied no it would not. Although as I am courious and had found earlier that every USB player port had a positive effect I purchased a Ideon 3R the smallest and SQ was...

Introduction of my new Antipodes K50 Music Server

Thank you for your answer. Yes I agree, Vinnie Rossi must also be included in the top group. I also had a LIO prior to my L2i integrated amp. I also have an Antipodes S40 as roon server with storage so I wonder if you would find eventually when you can use the K50 as both server/player to a dac...

Introduction of my new Antipodes K50 Music Server

I am also thinking of the AS signature ethernet cable. Good to see that you are already happy with it. As you wrote earlier the Audio sensibility, Triode wire labs and Sablon are the best direct sales companies I have found so far. Having many of AS powercables and their Signature speakercables...

    LDMS Server

I can now report after some burn in time that my Pico has added alot of musicality and upgrades to my system. This Pico has the Ideon 3R usb reclocker onboard that I power from a Paul Hynes SR 4. My pico has the functionality of a roon endpoint only whereas my roon server and storage is on my...

    Good mid-price audiophile switches

Thank you - very informative. The extreme or standard version could be a nobrainer for many people. In my situation who already have a good switch solution (eR+Afterdark OXCO clock+ 2xLPSU) its a bit trickier. Mabye the new Phoenix will better it. For me adding the OXCO clock to my eR was like...

To switch or not to switch? Melco S-100 or Innuos Phoenix NET switch?

Hi, how did your switch solution look before Phoenix Net? I remembered you had a AQVOX SE ( like me) with a DC-3, correct? I recognize what you say, similar to my experience with Etherregen+ DC-3+ Afterdark external clock and DC-2.

    Good mid-price audiophile switches

I have been thinking of the Ediscreation extreme silent switch. But as I have seen many recent post claiming that putting 2 or more switches in series is an upgrade. Would 2 standard Ediscreation switches in series sound better than one extreme? It would be a little more expensive with 2 but...

The Uptone Audio EtherRegen audiophile switch

Hi I used to have an OM together with my etherRegen. First of all you must give it a week or so for burn in. Then it may give you a better SQ all together. For me it wasn`t that good so I sold it . What really did big changes was when I bought the Afterdark queen square wave external clock. But...

CD Ripper: Old, New, Blu, Or Mix Of Old And New

I bought this Pioneer standard ripper without any mods direct from Adark in HK a month ago. I didn`t know how much OR if any SQ improvements could be had at all with these mods so I went for the standard version just because that seemed better than normal external plastic computer drives. Its...
