Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

Pages 22-25 in the TAS manual. I know this because last week I actually read the manual after I found it on my desktop where it's been for a few months... Ed tells me MQA is passed through with no action taken.

The Benchmark drives my Quads beautifully. There is nothing dull about it.

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

Is there any difference in the interval between tracks when using play album starting at track in Serial Play and playing a queue in Batch Play?

I'm ashamed to admit it but the TAS manual is right here on my desktop. Never thought to look at it. Lesson learned.

That was it. The cat must have done it. Thanks guys.

No. Where is the random play icon?

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

Recently the TAS "play album starting at track" option has become come confused. The selected track plays but the next track it selects is never the next one on the album. It's two, three or five tracks ahead of the one just played. It used to work fine. Anyone else having this problem?

I'm not sure it matters that much. I labeled mine "Beethoven cover.jpg" so I could find it in my documents.

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

I saved the album cover from Native DSD to documents then cut and pasted it to the album file in the Extreme. I ran a rescan with TAS and its there now. I've never used a metadata editor--it's probably something I should learn to use.

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

I downloaded an album from Native DSD and it appeared immediately in Roon without a cover. I rescanned TAS and it appeared there but also without a cover. I went back into Roon and edited it and found the cover and saved it so Roon now has it. I rescanned TAS again but still no cover. Anyone...

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

I rarely use Roon as well but the first update took both the TAS and Roon servers down. The last one just affected the Roon server.

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

I'm not running the JL Audio board but I lost the Roon server with the last two Roon updates. Ed had to delete and reinstall my Roon core each time to get me back up.

I'll do the same. The trick will be to get my wife to stop watching Netflix/MHZ/Prime etc so I can compare with and without a busy network.

I'm using a Nighthawk router with one band dedicated to my system. I believe I'm using a different model than the one Emile tested. I'm using S Boosters on both the router and modem.

    This is insane...the Quad ESL

The XA 25 was on my shortlist when I had my ESL 63's on the way but I decided on the Benchmark AHB2 and I'm very glad I did. Just a superb match.

Yes. Not at the expense of SQ but if it's possible it would be convenient.

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

Will XDMS have a simple album delete function? Sometimes I'll have two versions of an album, say one DSD and one redbook, and after listening I'll want to delete one. Currently I have to go to Roon, delete it there and run a scan in TAS which doesn't always work. There may be other ways but a...

Looked for this and I couldn't find any network icon in server settings, just the word network. Under that the only buffering is radio station buffer which was set at 3. I tapped the three dots in the upper right corner and went to server settings. Am I looking in the right place?

I downloaded the Brahms DSD from HDTT, rescanned it and it made it to TAS. I then downloaded the FLAC version from HDTT, rescanned it and it showed up as additional tracks on the DSD version. All that's a first. Does make it easy to compare resolutions though.

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

I'm beginning to think something like that might be the case. I've yet to be able to transfer a HDTT DSD file to TAS. No problem with FLAC.

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

Deleted the DSD Brahms and both the FLAC and DSD disappeared from Roon and the FLAC is gone from TAS. Downloaded the TAS DSD and it appeared immediately in Roon so I rescanned in TAS but no luck. Now there is no Brahms in TAS.
  22. K

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

Yep and neither are there. No weird characters. Both are in TAS in FLAC.

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

I tried that and both appeared in Roon in the date added field with the new title. I rescaned in TAS and no joy. The two albums are Ellington's Back to Back and Brahms Violin Concerto with Oistrakh. The Brahms is a FLAC download from HDTT and Back to Back is streamed from Qobuz. I downloaded...

Good thought. I just did but no, nothing additional in the originals.

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

Does TAS not allow downloading duplicate albums with different resolution? Yesterday I downloaded two albums from HDTT in DSD that I had in TAS and Roon in FLAC to compare the two resolutions. They both immediately showed up in Roon but neither have made it to TAS despite several rescans.

And three hours later I find all the Tidal albums are back. Must have been those slow cooked baby back rids my wife made tonight. Or not. I have no idea what happened but I'm good now.

Thanks. I've learned that lesson too but the Tidal update was automatic and I'm not sure how to prevent that.

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

There was a Tidal update last night and today all 249 of my Tidal favorites are missing from TAS but are all there in Roon. Ed worked with me until 12:30 AM his time and understandably turned in so I thought I would throw this out and see if anyone else has had the same problem. I rebooted Tidal...
