Introduction of my new Antipodes K50 Music Server

Yes, I read the review of the S30 and K50. I would like to know if anyone compared the K30 to the K50 in the same system?

Introduction of my new Antipodes K50 Music Server

Has anyone gone from the K30 to the K50? If so, I'm curious to hear what differences were heard.

    Audiophile SSD

I was told to get a Samsung 870 EVO and I recently installed it in my music server. Unfortunately, I haven't compared it to other SSD's.

    Power Supply for Antipodes S40

A special thanks to Scott at Supra Hifi in Dallas, TX! I picked up the S60 and K10 a couple of days ago. Honesty, I can't tell you what adding the S60 is doing, because I went from streaming music to listening to ripped CDs. It was immediately apparent that music had more body, detail, and...

    Power Supply for Antipodes S40

After talking with Mark at Antipodes I decided to order the S60. I hope to have the S60 in a couple of weeks.

    Power Supply for Antipodes S40

Thanks so much to everyone for the information. I sent an email to Farad yesterday evening, but they don't have a U.S. dealer. Magnuska - I will look into the Sean Jacobs DC-3 and Paul Hynes. kennyb123 - In hindsight I wish I would have just purchased the K30, but my way forward now is to add...

    Power Supply for Antipodes S40

I've considered the Antipodes S60 power supply, but it's $2K. I'm looking for recommendations for an external power supply to power my Antipodes S40 and eventually S30 music servers.

    Antipodes DX3 vs DX2

I checked Antipodes website and there isn't any information on U.S. dealers. Are there any Antipodes dealers close to Texas?

JRDG (Jeff Rowland Design Group) model 735 monoblock amps

I haven't tried the PSU, but one of my audio buddy owns one. He has the 625 S2, Corus, and Aeris. Based on my conversation with him I think changing my amplifier or preamp may yield better results. Of course I won't know for certain unless I hear the PSU in my system.

JRDG (Jeff Rowland Design Group) model 735 monoblock amps

danielk141, I've owned the JR 625 S2, for several years. I'm trying to decide if upgrading my JR Corus preamp to something else or going from 625 S2 to 725 S2 will yield better results.

    REL No. 25

I think it's important for me to follow-up my last post. I have been going back and forth with REL for he past few months regarding REL setup procedures. I exchanged emails with John Hunter, tech support, and Paul Magee. Paul said once they hired someone for my region and Covid conditions were...

    KeithR's "Dream Speaker" Search

I could have used a better word than outrage. My point is I wish "we", the audiophile community would stop being so critical about individual component preference in such a subjective hobby.

    KeithR's "Dream Speaker" Search

I don't understand the outrage expressed by individuals in this hobby. I've owned a Jeff Rowland 625 S2 amplifier for four years. KeithR tried the 625 S2 and prefers his Ampzilla amplifier. I'm not the least bit upset or mad at him. I'm not trying to tell him that it's his speakers, his ears...

    Thoughts on Jeff Rowland 925?

I've heard the 925s in several systems, including one system that I'm as familiar with as my own. In my opinion there are no absolutes in audio and you can easily come to a different conclusion. I find the 925s to sound a little soft in the highs and they don't have the bottom end control/power...

    REL No. 25

It's great that you're receiving outstanding support. Unfortunately, I can't say the same.

    REL No. 25

"REL support is full and immediate which greatly influenced my decision to move up in cost and hopefully SQ." I totally disagree with REL being supportive. I currently have dual G1 MKII and I was considering NO. 25s. I emailed REL several weeks ago. Finally after two weeks I received an email...

Living at the Extreme: I bought a Taiko Extreme and then this happened...

Skanda, I want to applaud you for simply calling as you hear it. Not all, but many people in this "hobby/obsession" tend to exaggerate differences between components. To take part of your comments, '"supposed to whip the pants off everything", in my experience once you get to a certain level...

    Audioquest Hurricane Power Cord

"It masked details placing a thick veil on the music." I agree, but didn't realize it until I compared them to another power cord.

    Audioquest Hurricane Power Cord

"by pulling more Audioquest powercables out you will loose the very much carved out sounds that can be more clearly distinguished from one another." I think it's system dependent. It certainly isn't the case in my system. The transparency of the Vortex's allow me to hear things deeper into the...

    Audioquest Hurricane Power Cord

After comparing my Hurricanes to Clarity Cables Vortex power cords I sold all of my Hurricanes. The Vortex power cords are transparent, open, and provide details that are slightly masked by the Hurricanes.

    REL T7i subwoofer

I recently added dual REL Carbon Limited subs. I'll just repeat what's already been said, "Sub "on" impacted everything from top to bottom and not simply the typical augmented bass / mid bass support."

    Vitus SIA-030

I listen to Jazz(Kirk Whalum, Boney James, Michael Franks, Larry Carlton, etc). My volume never goes higher than 62 on my Corus preamp. What aspects are you hoping to improve? If the recording allows...spacing between instruments and bass articulation

    Audioquest Hurricane Power Cord

Funny you mentioned USB cables. I wanted to have all AQ cables, so I sold my Wireworld Platinum USB cable and purchased the AQ Diamond. Although we have different systems the Diamond sounded just as you described. I kept the AQ Hurricane powercords, because I prefer them over Shunyata and...

    Audioquest Hurricane Power Cord

eagle3333, I agree your system, your room, and your ears. I recently have a similar experience between the AQ Hurricane and Dragon. I had two Dragon powercords for a home audition. I put one on my DAC and the other on my preamp. My initial thought is the Dragon added a lot of detail. I usually...

    Rockport Technologies Lyra

After reading your comments I swear I'm going to just be happy with my very modest system. Despite having Altair 2s, you stated: "Recordings I've heard 100's of times I hear things I've never noticed before. Just lil things that make it seem more real. Like how the fingers are picking on a...

T+A PA 3100 HV VS Gryphon Diablo 300

I planned on taking my Jeff Rowland amp and preamp to a dealer close to me to compare them to the T+A PA 3100HV. Unfortunately, the dealer seemed indifferent to the idea and I decided not to pursue anything from that dealer.
