Well, I've decided to join the club and have an Extreme on order!
While I wait, I'm trying to figure out what, if anything, to do with my Rockna Wavedream Signature XLR (that's a mouthful) DAC.
While I will be getting the Extreme USB card, Taiko can't optimize their driver for Rockna products...
I haven't tried using the Denali to power my monoblocks since Shunyata recommends plugging the amps into the T2. I will have to try it, since that is probably the source of the improvement I heard.
To answer your question, I have not heard any further changes/improvements to SQ since my...
Of course they do but I stopped listening to anything Paul says after I bought their first Perfectwave DAC with the optional bridge that allowed streaming over a network.
It was worked OK, but didn't have gapless playback. When I complained, Paul said he didn't know what gapless playback was...
I'm not sure how you declared vinyl the winner... Looks like it's streaming to me (this info is in the article you shared)

1Streaming$11.5 billion
2Vinyl$1.0 billion

Linn introduced their first Klimax Digital Streamer in 2007 and, while I wouldn't say that Sonos is in the same league, their zone players were using Ethernet a couple of years earlier at least; I started streaming with them in 2005. Given that this is going on 20 years, I'd hardly say that...
I haven't upgraded them, I went with the stock Farad power cords. That said, like Ken, I have upgraded the stock power cords for my digital devices with Shunyata Venom V14 NR. I can't say that I have heard any difference.
I've only had the T2 for a day, so still running it in with a fan for the next couple of days. It replaced the Typhon QR that I was using with a Denali 6000s/2. I have my monoblocks connected directly to the T2 and my subs connected to the Denali. I have an Everest for my frontend.
In the short...
beat ya' - I have currently have 5 ;-) I'm a big fan of these
One for my modded Mutec MC3 USB+, 2 for my modded Melco S100, one for Sonore OpticalModule Deluxe and one Orbi satellite
Hi Matt,
The Linn has been gone for a couple of months, but from memory, both sound very good and are probably some of the best DACs around. Neither sound digital - there is no digital fatigue with either.
Both are very good with microdynamics and imaging and both have very good blackgrounds...
Sorry I took the Rockna off your hands so quickly Scott! BTW, I'm loving it.
Regarding using a K50 as server only with a good streamer - I had both the Linn Klimax DSM/2 and then the new Organik Klimax in my system with the K50 and, in both cases, it made no impact on the SQ of either streamer...
According to Shunyata, connecting an Everest to a Typhon QR would be "too much of a good thing" - this is not something we recommend, too many QRBB modules in line with one another. That said, adding a TQR to a Denali 6000/v2 is a fantastic combo. In fact, with the exception of the Everest...
It's been announced - https://shunyata.com/products/power-distributors/reference-line-power-distributors/typhon-t2/
According to a good source at Shunyata "We'll wait for customer, dealer and distributor feedback to confirm this but Caelin thinks the Typhon T2/Denali 6000S v2 combo might end up...
