Which will be your next purchase?

Decided to give a Zenwave PCR 14 power cable a try; it is supposed to be delivered today. I will use it with the Neodio Origine S2 CD player I purchased in August. Also, I'm intending on trying the Neodio Origine B2 Acoustic Purifiers once Gestalt Audio receives them; very pleased with the B1s I...

What is the best KT88 tube available?

I use new production Gold Lions in my Ayon Spirit 2 integrated amp in my 2nd system; a nice sounding tube. I tried the Psvane T2s , the sound had somewhat more body to it with them. However, I found the tubes unreliable, 2 of 4 failed with less than 500 hours on them. I'd like to try the Sophia...

How Good a CD Transport is Required to Sound Better than Streaming?

Guess I'm a relic. I bought a Neodio Origine S2 CD player in August , and actively buy new music on CD which sounds very good through it. The Origine does allow for a streamer to be connected to its DAC; maybe down the road but I'm not there yet.

How Good a CD Transport is Required to Sound Better than Streaming?

Ron, I don't have either the Project or the Jay's but as Charles has stated I haven't read any user comments or reviews that don't reflect highly on the SQ of these units. As I stated earlier I replaced the Cambridge with a Simaudio 260DT and the music comes across with better tone, body...

How Good a CD Transport is Required to Sound Better than Streaming?

Am I understanding this correctly that he is reclocking the signal coming from the Cambridge 3 times? If so, then his CD playback isn't bettering that of his streaming based upon the performance of the Cambridge

How Good a CD Transport is Required to Sound Better than Streaming?

I had a Cambridge CXC CD transport for a while, yes it is a good for the money but it was easily outperformed by its replacement a Simaudio 260DT CD transport . I don't stream but I 'd be interested in what streamers is it consistently outperforming?

How Good a CD Transport is Required to Sound Better than Streaming?

Ron, I don't know that there is a definitive answer to your question. An obvious statement on my part, streamers all have different levels of SQ, as do CD transports, CD players and DACs. You might get more specific responses if you provide folks with what streamer brand/model you have in mind...
