When You Only Want One: A Single Orchestral Test Disc

Disagree. This is the worst KOJ orchestral recording, so distant it sounds like the orchestra is at the end of a large cave. Certainly far from one knows how an orchestra really sounds like mid-hall. A much better one is the Malcolm Arnold which was reissued not too long ago by RR.

Telarc 180g re-issues by Craft Recordings

I believe Bob Levi went overboard in his review of the Carmina. I compared with my original and the differences are not as nearly stark as he implies. On the one hand I detected a small reduction in dynamic range, but on the other the reissue sounds a bit richer and very slightly more detailed...

    Bocchino sablon in da house!

This and similar posts here are squarely in line with my experience with Bocchino power plugs. If you change the male and female connectors to Bocchino on a power cable you are familiar with, you will experience a true leap in performance beyond what you could have otherwise imagined. Such a...

SRX Vinyl 2019 Blue Note Reissues, total Audiophile P.O.SHIT!!

Most of the 1950s Blue Notes, including the Johnny Griffin mentioned here, were recorded in Van Gelder’s parents home in Hackensack, NJ before moving to the studio at Englewood Cliffs in 1959. So I doubt there was much in the way of ambient cues or atmosphere even on the original tapes.
