I am getting a Brinkmann Balance 2 Arm with RoNt III power supply with Mullard GZ34 tube. The Balance will sit on the HRS Brinkmann platform.

I hope to add a Vyger turntable with Vision tonearm and Titan air pump controller in due course.

I will be selling the Denon 62L + Hana SL.
Congratulations on your immediate and planned future TT upgrades Ron :)

I never signed any non-disclosure agreement. The topic never came up.

Well, I speak for what we are able to see in WBF. Such agreement looks implicit, it is not documental. It is curious that audiophiles are free to ignore science, but are supposed to love legal subjects ... :)

David was perfectly fine for me to sell the AS-2000 myself. There is no requirement to sell back to Vintage Audio Specialties.

Surely, But once someone needs to sell it he needs David. I am talking about common sense, not legal aspects.

I do not know what you are talking about here. Please explain.

Exactly what I wrote. AS 2000 owners are not supposed to post photos and details of their turntable.

No; you wrote "non disclosure agreement."

Now the absence of information proves something affirmative? Not very impressive for an academic who often demands objective facts from others.

No; you wrote "must be sold through the manufacturer?" (emphasis added)

Nothing prevents the purchaser of a component from David from listing that item for sale on Audiogon.

Apologies Ron, I was being sarcastic to describe an existing situation - I forget your legal background when in WBF as well as I forgot academia in WBF. And I can't see what being objective affects our opinion on the matters we are debating.

Surely. If he is a fool and accepts selling the AS2000 at a ridiculous price. Only people knowing David will valuate it adequately.

Except his tone arms :D

Michael Fremer: "[O]nce you see the [Reed] 5T in operation, it becomes an object of desire."

It is scary looking, but it works very well, and it sounds amazing to me.

Have to say the Vyger is hideous looking. I’m sure it sounds great though.

meanwhile the Brinkmann Bardo is industrial art.

Glad I'm not the only one that feels like it's an eye sore....

In the day, when I was researching turntables, it seemed that all roads converged on then departed from the Brinkmann, so it seems an excellent choice.

i think a 'bling-bling' turntable can look great in the right system vibe. but it can also be too much visually. and the VYGER is certainly an extreme look. it requires balance.

but then again i own darTZeel:p and Wadax:p, what do i know?

Mike , might you expand a little further on why you consider the VYGER to be a “bling bling” TT as compared with say an AS2000 , or say the new Kronos … Is it merely because it is ‘Shiney’ or some other consideration regarding some aspect of its design ?

ok, to start off with full disclosure; i came within a hair of owning a new VYGER Indian when i ended up with my CS Port 4 years ago. my view on the VYGER aesthetics at that time was that my system was grounded enough with other gear with it's own character, that the Indian would be a comfortable look. sure, it would jump out a bit with it's big, bold, shiny-shiny, but so did my darTZeel and Studers. i have large twin tower speakers, lots of black chairs/sofa, lots of media shelves. a big room. it takes a village to tone down the VYGER.

so i have already processed how the VYGER looks for myself and moved on from a concern about it.

as far as why i view the VYGER as bling-bling, and maybe others not quite like that......first off i do consider the Kronos very slightly bling-bling too. way down the scale. the new one more toward bling than the older model.

the VYGER bling-bling is about everything being bright machined aluminum. and it's shape which is a bit hefty. the finish quality just a tiny step below just right. which when compared to the perfect machined billet stainless of the AS-2000 you cannot compare the two in that sense. or my Esoteric also being cast and machined aluminum, but the scale of the T1 is more elegant and modest. yet it's slightly bling bling. just a bit.

OTOH if we are voting for the most elegant and classy looking turntable, certainly the CS Port LFT1 and Wave Kinetics NVS would be two to consider. my Dobbins Garrard 301 another? maybe my Rockport Sirius III too?

the Saskia model two it's own category......most earthy. 200 pounds of slate.

plenty of others to consider.

does that answer it?
