Which cables do you use with CH Precision products?

Hi!

Am in the market for interconnects. Just wanted to hear everyone's thoughts on which brands/models of cables match really well with CHP products?

Looking around the threads, I see some leaning more towards Argento, Schnerzinger. What would be some of your thoughts?

Thanks in advance! :)

I use the Göbel Lacorde cables and have listened to the brands you mentioned and took a lot of that product in trade. One of the products the designer owns is CH Precision electronics BTW

I'm really liking how Elrod Master Diamond is working with my CHP gear.

How would you describe the sound of Sablons vs your Tara or anything else you might have tried?

From memory, @jaxdr has an earlier xlr cable rather than my latest evo version. I have a couple of demo units of the new one floating around.

There are a couple consistencies when using the Sablon XLR's relative to other cables that have been in my system. There is a greater density or added weight to the music that sounds lifelike and natural. Being sensitive to a thin or threadbare sound, this quality is highly valued. Classical music with massed strings benefits immensely.

Second the Sablons provide greater definition of image outlines that provides a realism to the music. Images seem to be more articulate and less fuzzy/homogenized.

Further these cables seem to be well balanced across the frequency spectrum. The frequency extremes are not tipped up or bloated. And there does not appear to be any glaring weakness in the cables. Given the price of these XLR's and the previous mentioned qualities, they are a great value. The Tara's and Shunyata interconnects in my system are 3x-5x more expensive.

As I am sure you know, YMMV and more so with cables.

I believe you are correct...when possible, please include me in the circulation of the demo EVO's.

Thanks Bill and I’ll get a pair sent onto you. Same wire and (arguably greater) gains as the evo usb cable you already have.

Thank you. This sounds very much like the type of cable I would appreciate as I'm also sensitive to a thin sound. It's also how I would describe Audience AU24 SX cables which are priced similarly.

W/c Shunyata I/C model did you compare the Sablon against would be keen to hear more. I am considering between the current Sablon or Shunyata Alpha V2 or the Audience Frontrow. Am overseas so audition unlikely.

I've tried the Shunyata ICs (and speaker cables) and feel they are threadbare. Not just neutral, but just... well bad.

Audience Frontrow is, IMO, not as good as Audience AUX24 SE. The Front Row has a treble spike and very little bass.
