I am updating the image because I installed the second tonearm and inserted the two stainless steel plates under the turntable.
Very cool. What does the Integrity arm give you that the VPI does not?VPI HW 40
Integrity hifi true glider arm
Koetsu rosewood
VPI arm not used
Let me put it this way. When I set it up and dropped the needle on Johnny Cash's Spiritual from his unchained lp the hair literally stood up on my arm.Very cool. What does the Integrity arm give you that the VPI does not?
As a DD drive has potentially some EMV effect not every cartridge is a matching pair, but with a well chosen cart, the L07-D can beat many of the so called " reference " turntables of todays production.
Congrats on your new dd. In my experience, every dd benefits from mu metal sheet sandwiched between turntable platter and metal mat of your choice. It is essential
loki, that has not been my experience with the HW40s at the VPI House, where I’d often gone (pre-pandemic). I used the 40s there often and done VTA adjustments without ever having something like that happen. I’m guessing, but thinking there is a problem with your VTA tower, which I agree should not be happening for something in this price range. Also the VPI arm is poorly built. When I adjust the VTA there is a hitch for a lack of better word that makes the arm jump. Not good for the stylus. If I could remove the arm i would.
