This version is "Despair without a Fight." Different from Hahn's "Despair with a grunt to Fight." Imo. The video is great for this version.

Actually I own the Classic Records Reissue in their Deluxe 1S box set. Sounds amazing as I'm sure the original first pressing does too...

This is a great live performance of Strauss' Til Eulenspiegels with playing by the Philadelphia Orchestra at their peak (although some would say that their peak is now with Yannick). A friend of mine who played trumpet with the orchestra said the woodwind section heard here may never be equaled again!
