Sorry, didn't know I had said that. I'm simply saying that I have found dynamics to be important when wanting to reproduce "girl with guitar" accurately. I'm sure dynamics can be achieved in a variety of ways. My comment does not address that.
I hear you - it is ironic. Although there are several who reach out via PM instead of replying here for suggestions.
I also agree G&G needs good dynamics, these tracks are often less compressed so they can be very dynamic, there just isn't massive low frequency content.
The one thing dynamic speakers with complicated crossovers do well is complex music. I also think it's possible to get excellent results with these speakers, it just costs a lot. I don't see anyone saying Mike L's system isn't dynamic, same for systems like YG Sonja XV, big Wilsons with Thor subs, etc.
Now, big multi-way horns can keep up, but they aren't less expensive or have less complicated crossovers (usually).
I also think for G&G and simpler music Feastrex drivers are the best possible, but I have not heard AER beyond the BD3 yet.

Marc, I don't believe they fit in my new room (I"m listening a hair under 10' to the speaker now). As I've stated previously, was definitely one of my favorite demos.
Actually, I posted below Marc's comment about dynamic Zu speakers. Not commenting about dynamic driver speakers per say, just the importance of "dynamics" for all music genres. I happen to agree with him, regardless of speaker typology. Dynamics are important for girl w/ guitar and all genres of music, IMO, YMMV

This may come as a surprise, but I'm pretty confident a pair of YG Hailey 2s with Lamm M2.2 monos is now going to be my destination. YG is still the most amazing demo I've had thus far and while Sonjas can't be part of the picture, I believe Hailey 2 in my much smaller room will get me there. I feel YG is very coherent, with micro dynamics unlike many of its peers, and really paints an incredible landscape for electronica, classical, etc. If this ultimately doesn't work, I will simply wait for John Devore's trickle down speaker.
As far as amplification, hybrid SS makes most sense with my preamp and I have solid confirmation Music First and Lamm is an excellent combo. Lamm's M2.2 is stable down to 1-ohm as well.

Sometimes the journey reaches an unexpected destination ...curious as to what tipped you into YG ? Especially in light of your comment in post 2194
@KeithR Good Choice with the YG. I've always felt that YG's proprietary technology. Specifically, Dual Coherent is what gives them that character that is so unique over speakers.
Now, with the new tweeter on the Hailey 2, treble extension and resolution has improved compared to the prior tweeter.
A speaker is the sum of all parts and YG is at the top of his game now.
Don't forget that with YG; although a high entry point. You can if desired, always take your Hailey 2 to the Hailey 3 etc.. if and when should YG release an updated model.
The proprietary technologies plus speaker upgradability makes YG unique.

Sounds like you've really done your homework and found what is going to work best for you. That's what this hobby is about. Enjoy the music!
I'm looking for a used set. These aren't the most common Lamms but I feel with a TVC preamp I'd like to keep tubes somewhere in the chain.
I'm going to get over my efficiency requirement and see how this goes. If it doesn't work, at least I tried. But reflecting on the past year, this is the only actionable dynamic driver speaker which works best with my music and checks my boxes. I enjoyed AG Duo XDs as well, but don't believe they are a great fit for my room and still have questions about potential fatigue. I may get a chance to hear the A23s again soon, not sure - but I'm skeptical of them as a long term solution with electronica.
Interestingly enough, all 3 of my favorites require different amplification from what I have.

What about Lamm ML1.1 like Jeff has? 90 watts of PP triode that would work with YG or high efficiency if you later go there? I personally couldn’t go YG when I craved high efficiency...they are just too different but I wish you luck with them.
Keith, have you come across VSA VR-55 Active speakers during your dream speaker search? I would appreciate it, if you can share your views about these speakers. I am finalizing my dream speaker choice and will be auditioning VR-55 in a week. I’ve pretty much exhausted the list of speakers available for audition, so in my case it will be between Sasha DAW and VR-55.
