The cars you have loved, or are in love with. Tell us your car history and what each one taught you

My most influential car was a 2002 Mazda Miata that was setup for cup racing specs. Lots of time in the mountains and a little SCCA ST autocross events. I still miss that car as I've moved on to a MB SUV :(

How Do You Brew Your Coffee

Really varies. Turkish coffee when I have time to watch since the Cezve pot is tapered at the top and it can boil over in a blink of the eye. I do still use a Mr. Coffee from time to time as well as my espresso maker. When I'm in a hurry and between meetings I have a nice Italian instant...

"Vintage", a new AAA jazz recording by Jerome Sabbagh

Great album Jarome with epic players! I'm also a gigging saxophone player so really appreciate the sound you are going after! You have an amazing style and tone that is a perfect match for this outing.

    Low cost streaming solution

You should also look at the Wiim pro or pro plus depending on if you wan to use the DAC. The pro plus has a better DAC but even the mini would work. The interface is very good and supports pretty much all the streaming services.

Stenheim Reference Ultime Two - The Delivery of My Endgame Loudspeakers

Amazing! The speakers, the front-end, and the room! Congratulations!

    Do you get out enough?

Hmm..... I am a gigging saxophone player but it's always through a PA with IEMs. I do practice everyday in my loft so maybe that counts as un-amplified :)

Why aren’t open baffle speakers more popular?

I have a pair of single driver OBs with a sub and they have booted my KEFs into storage for now. They are placed >5ft away from any wall so does help. Bottom line is they really have a different musical presentation compared to box speakers. Are they better? Maybe not especially since they tend...

    Ron’s New System

Nice room. As a gigging musician it's great to see someone performing live.

What Other Interests of Yours Relate to Your Audio Hobby/Pursuit

Gigging saxophone player in local R&B bands. When to college on a double major; electrical engineering and music. My grades in music classes always helped my overall GPA :)

    Charles' Little 2-ch Hi-Fi System...

Likely not :) I'm a OB addict now. The way they energize the entire room is intoxicating. I likely missed this but what room treatments are you using?

    Charles' Little 2-ch Hi-Fi System...

You did help since my listening room seems to really respond to OBs. My system is not a mature as yours, but all I can say is my KEF LS50 Metas + sub are now retired. Now on to room treatment as the next step as I don't think I'll go back to closed back speakers unless we sell this house and...

    Charles' Little 2-ch Hi-Fi System...

Thanks for the OB treatment advice. I have them about 6ft from each wall with no treatment and the sounds is very open and pretty much floats around the room even when they are pointed directly to the primary seating position. I'll start a thread of my own on my OB adventure :)

    Charles' Little 2-ch Hi-Fi System...

Fun to watch your progression. I'm jumping into the deep end with OB speakers so what happens behind them in terms of room treatment is going to be completely new territory. I like what you have done with minimal and tasteful room treatment.
