This a before and after comment .. unfortunately not super detailed but I think goes to the heart of acoustics and natural sound. It's the preferred reverberation time for the listner. Tapio Lokki et all have established that peoples...
I am using a 4 way speaker, 8chanel dac and 8 amps with crossover filters in an acourate convolution filter located in jriver on server. This system is intended to be a home cinema as well as music. The dsp adds a delay of 600ms ( theoretically) which results in a a sync problem with video...
AJ what amazes me is any interaction we have with AI such as chat bots on corporate websites etc are beyond infantile , just blood pressure raising time wasters ...so clearly no money is being splashed into that area where it could be useful answering the simple questions. I share your...

Tim,
I'm just starting a process of using acourate for crossover filters as a crossover ( aided by a friend) and as far as I can see getting it all as close as you possibly can prior to using acourate is the key .. I measured all drivers outside and up in the air to get halfway decent clean...
Nice to have a theatre named after you:)
It is a beauty .. interestingly the flat floor removes " seat dip" that you get with tiered seating and the walls between the boxes reduce early side wall reflections and the lovely high ceiling reduce ceiling reflections so it ticks a lot of boxes.

Very cool. The importer here will be getting a pair soonish. I think these are conceptually a very clever design .. quite a step forward. I am sure they will be amazing

The increased sensitivity to fr between 3-6kh is a well documented symptom of ... eerrr.. ahem.. aging
Not sure any speaker designers are going to create a range for the "older" listner :)
Confirming that improvements still work over time is a great move ... you may have previously corrected by limiting something that treats the symptom but is not the cause. Acoustics is a great example. If you remove early reflections you achieve greater clarity.. your transformer might have done...
Pretty decent room !
I have 130hz dip and part of it is wall behind chair.. 750mm from wall .. I can open the door and reduce the depth of the dip. The rest is from a multitude of reflections which obviously sum to that dip. I can dsp it out.. almost.. at listening spot but it's not really...
