That's quite interesting - it's not me, but I look forward to hearing something about it!

    Waversa Wcore, WRouter, Streamer

Hi - I'm not familiar with the Zanden, but I'm guessing that if the I2S is over ethernet cable you should be able to use any of the 3 LAN isolators, the EXT-1, Reference, or Reference Plus. If it's over HDMI, though, then probably the EXT-1 HDMI would work. I don't think there is an HDMI...

    Waversa Wcore, WRouter, Streamer

Hi, sorry to be slow replying. I have the Technicolor Gateway CGM4331SHW, also from my ISP (I think the last three letters refer to the provider, Shaw, in this case).

Waversa Systems Current Production Line: A Central and Current List of Published Reviews

Following on my previous post, I did my experiment with two Reference LAN isolators, one in front of the VDAC and the other in front of the WBridge. Given that having one Reference in front of the DAC sounded a little better than one in front of the Bridge, I wasn’t surprised that I heard only a...

Waversa Systems Current Production Line: A Central and Current List of Published Reviews

I agree with the comments here about the Reference LAN Isolator, including in relation to the earlier released LAN Isolator. The difference between the two is great, the Reference providing greater benefits in all parameters. The Reference is a keeper; I couldn't go back to the original. I've...

Kang Su Park - designer and manufacturer

I just read on the Hammertone Audio most recent blog that Allnic has started making its own tubes. The blog says they started in order to have high-quality new production versions in their top models of some of the tubes they use that are becoming increasingly rare and expensive. I own an L-8000...

    Waversa Wcore, WRouter, Streamer

I haven’t posted for a while and I’ve made a couple of changes, so I thought I should say a few words about them. Because of the nature of those changes, I’m not sure where to put these comments, but I thought I’d start here because both changes affect the WRouter and the WCore, though also my...

Waversa VDAC - some comments on my new DAC

WAVERSA VDAC Conclusion: The case for the Waversa tube rectified, tube output VDAC is a clear winner. The VDAC is a stunning piece of audio componentry, providing an incredibly live sounding musical experience; it’s also wonderfully flexible and solidly built. It is giving me more of the...

    Waversa Wcore, WRouter, Streamer

I finally found the time to do the reprogramming of the WDAC3C and Wrouter for WAP/X support. Now I really understand what FPGA means… Never thought I would be doing something like that. Never thought I would become an Intel client. Good thing I like new experiences... For an explanation of...

    Waversa Wcore, WRouter, Streamer

An update on how things are going with my three Waversa units... I have a USB Blaster, instructions, and the programs to do the updates to the DAC3c. When I get it together to do that, I'll be sure to post here with the results. In the meantime, I've experienced another performance improvement...

    Waversa Wcore, WRouter, Streamer

Continued: Another option is the choice of degree of “RES”, or “resolution”. The Wrouter and the DAC3c each allow you to choose from “Bypass” to 8 times “RES”. John Ketcham explains it this way: “RES BYPASS keeps the BIT length the same as source. RES 1x increases BIT length to 32 BIT and...

My Stereo: A love story Subtitle: A “Subjectivist’s” Review of the Waversa Wrouter, Wcore, and DAC3c Part I: My Biases and Waversa I thought I would share my experience with the Waversa products being discussed on this thread, mainly because my little essay might help someone else in their...
