    Most vinyl-sounding DAC?

AFAIK he bought it around that price, second hand, 13 years ago. A four pieces cd player with many tubes is a bigger problem than price I believe.

    American Sound, "The Absolute Nothing"

Thanks @PeterA for sharing info about new AN turntable. After reading 9 pages of this thread and others related with this one I ended up with one conclusion: If you write in an authoritative, confident way in threads and end all arguments by condescending others with a commanding tone (SME...

Comparison of some Cartridges in the 4k segment, MKII : Etsuro, Hana, Benz, Allnic, Kiseki, Phasemation

I can see from the picture that it employs a carbon cantilever which I’m not very fond of. It may sound great though. I haven’t heard new Accuphase cartridges yet.

The American Sound Turntable- Beyond's Minimalist!

Thanks Below sentence from the link you shared drew my attention and offers a solution to the biggest problem cause IMO the real concern on an air bearing platter is thrust. If your usage case requires one end to be constrained axially, we also offer thrust bushings as an extension of air...

    Rega P6 vs Pro-ject X8?

I do too go for Rega instead of Project. Maybe Project is a better turntable I don’t know but IMHO Rega offers better arms bundled.

...and you can only fool yourself thinking that you have a hobby called HiFi.

Hi-Fi is NOT a subjective hobby.

Hifi is not a subjective hobby that’s for sure but Audio hobby is. Hifi is about lifelike reproduction of instruments and vocals in your home without fatigue but unfortunately main debate here is focused on stage depth, soundstage as it has always been. On the other hand Audio hobby is about...

Congratulations! It’s looking good. A string without a knot would be better cause I know from experience that knot affects performance.

What turntables do you use? Pictures would be nice as well :-)

I can read German but I don’t understand cause I don’t speak German. Thanks for translating it but Google has already helped me to translate it to English before you did. According to the document in German that you shared, the motor, even though it has 3 phase coils, it can be run on a single...
