First day with the Denafrips Venus II

But did it replace the R26 in the end?

Dc but not idea what type, it's enclosed in lead. Can you even get it out?

    Accuphase preamps

    I've got the first power amp, it's going to be the A-60. Can get a nice trade-in for a brand new C-2300 but it's a tough choice - 2300, 2450, 2800 or 3800.

    Accuphase preamps

Well, the power amps will be Accuphase anyway, but it's a bit of a case of 'whatever comes to market' that fits the search criteria and the bill. Could be an A50, A60 or maybe something from the A-4x range.

    Accuphase preamps

I have a Pass XA30.5 but planning to change to an Accuphase as well, ideally an A50V/A60 for mid/high and a P- series for the bass as I'm using the Accuphase F-20 crossover.

    Accuphase preamps

I'm also planning to go for a full Accuphase setup, however auditioning in own system is not really an option when buying used (and often, from abroad). I was curious about the 2300 as often the TOTL solutions tend to trickle down to the lower-end models throughout the years. On the other note...

    Accuphase preamps

Dear all, As it stands I'd like to replace parts of my system to be all from the same brand, in this case - Accuphase. I'm currently running the BHK Signature preamp and was wondering how it stacks up in the Accuphase hierachy? So far I've found one review of the BHK roughly stating it was in...

    Phono stage upgrade from Xono

I've finally bought a Manley Steelhead 2 for now but haven't been able to hook it up yet. The wide spacing of the input terminals is a PITA, almost no tonearm cables fit and so I had to sell my AQ Leopards already.

    Audioquest Obsidian cables- any thoughts-

Sorry to dig up this old thread but what are AQ Obsidians actually?! There is zero information on these on the web, not even on AQ's website - nothing. What are the materials used, AWG? They should have replaced the K2 but are internals the same?

    Fozgometer: 3 Test LP's and 3 Different Results....Now What?

I got the cart back but same issue - impossible to align with the foz.

    Phono stage upgrade from Xono

Well, in the Xono they are on the inside so even worse :-)

    Phono stage upgrade from Xono

Anyone heard the Moon 610LP? I find it so weird that it looks almost identical (good 95%) to the much more expensive 810LP, both can take the 820S power supply as well. The main PCB is almost identical, yet the 810LP seems to have 4 more PSU(?) stages at the bottom.

    Phono stage upgrade from Xono

Klyne, FM Acoustics or anything like ML vintage is sadly out of the question, mainly because of unobtainable, custom modules/parts. A case of 'been there, done that' sadly. Accuphase C-47 might be an interesting one, still also thinking about that Gryphon, would need a few months of saving though.

    Fozgometer: 3 Test LP's and 3 Different Results....Now What?

So as it turned out, the cartridge was defective and was impossible to align. The AT33 could be perfectly L-R matched on the Graham with the Foz.

    Phono stage upgrade from Xono

Thank you all for the comprehensive replies, lots of good options mentioned. The Moon looks interesting but 'warm' voiced isn't my cup of tea, I'd say if the Xono sounded less hard on the treble when combined with a very resolving headphone, I would've been perfectly happy with it as the bass is...
