..." Rich Fryer is a nice boss that he won't mark up Spectral's gear at a sky high level, please look at today's high end gears and their prices! What a shame when compared to Spectral! "... I fully agree

    Spectral DMA-90

I had an opportunity to buy two of these units, but I let it go, that day I was very upset with myself. The copper foil is so that the two transistors have the same possible temperature (thermal pairing). Helps keep the offset (DC output) very low as possible

    Spectral DMA 150 Upgrade

Hi Good question, when I upgraded DMA150 the transformers had more option above 230V. (possibly 240V). "except the protection circuit transformer, it is limited by resistor" . In my house I am lucky to have a transformation station about 400 meters away. But at night, sometimes I have 238V. For...

Yes, I agree with you, especially with magico, but with Wilson Audio I leave some reticence (this, in the various systems that I heard)

I've heard Dartzell with DCS several times, including the monoblocs NHB-468, and I like these pre/amp and power amp, but their sound signature is quite different from spectral.

The volume pot., had an alternative a CT2 10K-2, from Danish Audio ConneT. (a sample from a friend). After many hours of listening, I found it to be an excellent component, but for an odd reason !!!! I kept the original pot. (noble) The balance pot was replaced by the same concept by spectral...

After a burn , and many hours of listening, the final choice was the same manufacturer but serie (KW + KA). The reason for this change is indicated in the previous line (#25).

Initially when replacing electrolytic capacitors, the choice was nichicon (fine gold series), except the capacitors of protection circuit.

Hi Good question. sometimes the best can have an unexpected result. Other times, the opinion is personal to each critic. I know Elna's capacitors and they are good capacitors. The Silmic series is a condenser, which after a period of burning, presents a full and round bass. Many people like...

yes, it far surpassed all my expectations, but there are still some details to finish. It is logical that my opinion is always suspicious. j
