I agree with your assessment that the scale and resolution are somewhat truncated but after going back and forth with my AnaMighty DL103, which has those things, I'm finding that I am enjoying the smaller image more right now. It becomes more about the music and less about putting on a...

What turntables do you use? Pictures would be nice as well :-)

I've been looking at the Amari too but couldn't pull the trigger because I've heard about some issues but maybe I should have. That's a gorgeous table.

Then you have a ton of fun ahead of you! Next to the Diatones, my biggest audio revelation since I gave up on CDs in 1999 was adding a SUT to my LP2.1. I agree with what someone else said on another thread I think, that you are operating at such a high level that maybe there isn't that much...

Curious what SUT are you using with the SL15?

I know! I couldn't tell which side was the bearing side at first. Weird little table. Also better sounding than a bunch of other tables I have owned that cost a hell of a lot more...

That SL15 has no right to sound this good. I just bought a Well Tempered Simplex 2 to use for the next 6 weeks and it's sounds just lovely. That's the best way to describe it. A turntable/cartridge that cost me a total of $1250 is totally satisfying. Well for 6 weeks anyways.

Interesting! I wish I still had my Super Gold. Maybe I'll pick up something used... that could be a satisfying setup while I wait.

Well Tempered Simplex 2. Temporary table... just arrived because I hate digital. Sounds pretty dang good for $1000 used. 4-5 more weeks until my 401/Schroeder CB gets here. The waiting is really hard but this is a fun listen.

To be fair, that cut sounds good even on my (in comparison) crappy system :) The balance and weight is spectacular, even from the video. Really awesome, Peter! My old audiophile uncle just pulled an SL-15 out of his treasure chest. Can't wait to give it a try when my 401/Schrøder CB is ready-...

Two best ways to find Lamm components: Either didn't know what he had guy or divorcing guy who doesn't care how much he gets as long as she doesn't get the money. I got mine from the latter. Had a chance for the M1.2s but don't have space until we move.

    Harbeth Super HL5 30th Anniversary

I find that Harbeths enjoy a great many amplifiers and it's not just wattage or tubes vs SS. You probably won't know what you like until you hear it.... so I would just get the speakers and resell if you don't like how they work with your amp. SHL5s sell fast when they come up.

    What's Spinning Tonight?

You should check out Marine Girls. It was Tracy Thorne's first band and she's mostly doing background because she was too shy to sing at that point, but the few times she sings, it's amazing.

I just don't understand why people reply with negative things. What's actually the point? I love hearing about people's experience with different gear. Some I like. Some I don't. Some is even paradigm shifting. But if someone posts about something that I don't find appealing, why would I take my...
