LampizatOr Horizon - Tube Rolling Paradise

My Horizon should arrive in the next few weeks and I'm just now (quite late) thinking about tubes. I ordered adapters for 6SN7 tubes but I'm not sure if I need adapters for KT170's or for the Tak 274B. If I do need adapters would someone please point me to the correct items? Also, can someone...

    Taiko Audio Daiza platforms.

Mike, thanks for posting, but I have 5 Daiza's so I'm familiar with the setup. I was just wondering if the foam inside the foot (mine are copper, not ph) was supposed to hold the copper foot off the floor or whatever. According to Emile's response, the answer is no, it gets compressed and just...

    Taiko Audio Daiza platforms.

Here's a question for Emile; regarding the current Daiza standard copper feet with foam at the bottom, is the foam supposed to hold the foot off the floor, or whatever the Daiza is sitting on, or just float inside the foot letting the copper foot sit on the floor?

    Help Refine this system, please!

Like most people in their late 60's, I do have some high frequency hearing loss (not extreme) and some tinnitus, again not extreme. I can still tell what sounds good and what doesn't. Electrical could certainly be an issue. We always make sure that nothing is running when we listen. Like last...

    Help Refine this system, please!

Yes, I listen to far too many you tube videos. I understand the limitations. I never said it sucked. I listened again, the recording quality is not so great but presentation is impressive. I could never live with a huge setup like that, that is the main issue with some of these horn setups. But...

    Help Refine this system, please!

I would like to try Gryphon. Noblesse is an amazing speaker, with an amazing price to match. I do have to keep form factor in mind also as we will move in two years or so and I want something easily accommodated and easily moved without too much hassle. I don't remember whether or not I have...

How would I test the grounding? I do have a star ground box with everything plugged into it prior to the PS20.

    Help Refine this system, please!

Mike, Thanks for your thoughtful input. The room is a problem but I can't do anything about it for about 2 years. It may be that I have to stick with what I have until then, but I want to explore the options now as it will take a long time to go out and demo many of the products being...

Not my glass of wine. But, I would love to demo horns that don't actually sound like horns. Most Berning amps go to people with horn speakers.

The valves installed are PX25 KR RK, 274B EML. A more powerful tube amp is certainly an option, I would love to demo big VACs in my system.

I just mean that this specific mix of components are not ideally matched to provide the sound I'm searching for. Some other configuration might work better. Don't get me wrong, this system doesn't sound bad, I just know that it can do better. Another opinion posted about the PS20, I will address...

    Help Refine this system, please!

Wow, what great responses! Eventually, I will try to answer all the questions asked. For now, on limited time before leaving for a trip tomorrow, I'll say that I know that the room is an issue, I'll elaborate further in the future. The PS 20 has a power meter and it shows a constant 1000 watts...

Top of the Line Tube Amplifier Companies?

So that we don't derail this thread further I have started another about this issue. I couldn't wait until winter. See it here https://www.whatsbestforum.com/threads/help-refine-this-system-please.33535/

Please look at my signature with the list of components currently in our system. I love each and every item, but I haven't achieved a state of synergy where I'm happy with the results. Part of the problem is the room, I know that and can't do anything about it right now, but will in the future...
